Great run today, and a mega amount of bikes out and about. Kinda got left behind when my neighbour and his R1 went off to play with the 6 or 7 bikes that passed us around Sanquar, but caught up with him again after the lead hills. Only for the 6 or 7 to overtake us again from outta nowhere, with the guy on the Busa doing some kinda pedalling motion as he went passed Went across to Lockerbie, then to Langholm, and down to Hawick, up to Peebles, to Lanark and back to Hamilton. A nice wee 250 mile trip, but boy am I shattered. Broke the ton marker as well, just a wee bit , as my confidence grew and grew.

We are heading towards Dumfries area.

Out for a run today with my neighbour. No idea where we are heading yet, but if you see a black hornet and blue R1 within a mile of each other it's likely to be us.

I got my dates wrong, and the 11th is my namesake nephews birthday (not the 12th as I thought), so wont be available for this. Sorry. Also incurred the wrath of my sister for getting the date wrong

I haven't used ear plugs at all since riding. Haven't even tried it yet. But I do think prior to heading to the IOM this year that it is something I should probably do.

Very nice mate. I treated myself the other week and got a nice Arlen Ness NJ-3296 jacket in black and white and Forcefield back protector. Also recently got hold of an Arai Viper GT Sinister lid.

Went for a wee blast to Muirkirk. Such a brilliant day and loads of bikes out and about. I was like a nodding dog. My cornering seems to be getting better too. Must be the weather. Enjoyed a wee two hour blast today. Passed a fair few bikes too, so if I passed you I apologise, but I would have nodded. Went in to town to the Honda place, then down through the tunnel, out the M77 to Newton Mearns and back through Stewartfield, EK way. Was a wee bit chilly at times. A lot of scooters about today, must have been on a rideout themselves. Something happening at Ibrox as well, quite a crowd about down that way. If ok I can let you know tomorrow Martyn. Missus not well, so not sure if I will be able to unless it's early.

Picking up my Arlen Ness jacket today. May even try on a pair of draggin or red route jeans.

Would need to be 11th for me. 12th is my nephews first birthday. The weekend after that I move house, so bike will only be moved from one house to another. Although I am off the week between for Easter holidays. Gotta love construction holidays. How is the wee one by the way ? Enjoying parenthood ?

I do like that lid mate. I was looking at Shark lids when I got my new one, but settled for the Arai Viper GT Sinister. Hope you kept your clear visor too though.

Good wee runout on Saturday. Over the Kincardine Bridge, through Rosyth and Dalgety Bay to Kirkcaldy. It was from there I made my mistake, instead of going up to the top decided to go through Coaltown of Weymss, Buckhaven etc. 20mph ffs. Along to Leven, then through to Elie. Good run though, especially with the Vectra who was trying to keep up after I passed him Then back home the same way, this time missing out the 20mph roads and going via Leven and Stand Stane Road. Decided to cut off the motorway and go back Kincardine Bridge again due to the wind. Didn't fancy going over the Forth Bridge. Quite a few bikes out, so if I passed anyone I apologise, although I would have nodded.

Just bought one of yon Forcefield chaps today. 20% off at J&S so got it for £79. Also bought a new Arlen Ness jacket, again 20% off.

My new one has the double D rings. I am actually getting used to it now, and don't mind it. New helmet is far lighter and looks better anyway, so all good. I got an Arai Viper GT Sinister.
