  1. NB.LED indicators don't use bulkbs 09 bike? Warranty?
  2. The recommended way to check the oil level in the sight glass is to run the engine for a few minutes, switch off and leave it to stand for 2 minutes. Needless to say the bike should be level when inspecting. Leaving the bike longer will give a misreading. Some bikes have a level light, some have a pressure light. Don't know of any that have both.
  3. Sounds like it could be fuel starvation, lack of fuel. Could be fuel tank breather or dirty fuel filter.
  4. Some seats unlock and then you pull a lever or two levers, one each side. Some seats lift up on a hinge, some lift off the bike. Some bolt on. It might also be a helmet lock. A manual will explain
  5. My advice would be to Never buy a helmet without trying it on.
  6. But............ But.......... But.......... That generally sorts it
  7. Vemar and certain AGV helmets fit my 64cm dome.
  8. Standard thread is a right hand thread. Left hand thread fixings (the other way round) are usualy marked with a groove. Yamaha mirrors for example.
  9. I thought it was a wind up. You live and learn. Never come across a belt driven alternator on a bike. Can't tell from the diagram what type of belt it is however a lot of belts squeal due to xs wear. Probably a good idea to replace it if adjusting it doesn't sort the problem. Remember to not put too much tension on the belt as this can cause premature bearing failure.
  10. But download a manual anyway. You know it makes sense.
  11. You must pay attention to your tyres. No matter how super duper the bike or how skilled the rider if the bit that connects the bike to the floor doesn't work, brakes and steering become useless. Inspect them and monitor the pressures every time you ride
  12. Buy a pressure guage http://www.toolshopdirect.co.uk/item.ph ... /sn/763592 AND USE IT
  13. Normally called smoothrite
  14. If it's overheating in traffic and your fan doesn't come on, assuming the fan itself isn't the problem, I'd be looking at the sensor or, maybe wire the fan direct through a switch. It won't matter how clean the system is ,if the fan doesn't work , it will overheat.
  15. Have you fitted the right, new, bulb. Look in the bulb holder for dirty contacts.
  16. Caveat emptor http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictiona ... eat+emptor Now, BLOW YOUR TYRES UP
  17. http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid ... reakers+uk
  18. Check steering head, brakes, chain and sprockets, tyres, wheel bearings. Look all round for scuffs and dings. Check the V5 for correct address and that the engine no. matches the bike plate. Any old MoT's can help verify mileage. If not 100% sure , walk away.
  19. 6 months ? If you're selling it. Just see if it starts and sell it. Any buyer worth his salt will go over it.
  20. Perhaps an exercise machine to build up those kicking muscles.
  21. Two circles well greased works
  22. Postal strike is Royal Mail. That's letters. Parcel force and Post Office are un affected. As are any couriers.
