  1. Voltage and physical size is the most important. Cos if it's the wrong size it won't fit on the bike and if it's the wrong voltage , nothing will work. The ampage is the total output available from the battery. Each component only draws what it needs. The battery can't force more than is needed into the component. The amp /hour value is how long the battery will last under a constant load. 4 amps for an hour, 1 amp for 4 hours, 8 amps for 1/2 an hour. This is under test conditions. In the real world it's only a guide, because temperature, electrolite level and strength vary with age and weather conditions.

    MOT Fail

So just brakes , steering , transmission and lights then
  3. Had lots of good bargains from J&S. Sales at their stores, bargain rails and bins, show stands. Top shop
  4. Bought a new dog to guard the house but he's useless. He lets anyone in. Turns out he's a pedigree Collie, a Border Collie, a UK Border force Collie
  5. Put some windowlene in the oil to clean the glass Noo! don't , just kidding

  10. Lube the cable and all moving parts, including the twist grip itself. Check for obstructions and/or fouling, including any damage to the cable outer. Make sure relevant springs are attached and in good condition.
  11. You're going to fast. Now you know why you're restricted. Keep an eye on the speedo till you get used to the increase in performance. Your senses are tunes to the 125. My first ride on the old Z1000 was a step up from the 400 I'd been riding. Set off just the same...snicked up the box to where the 400 would be doing 35/40ish, looked down doing 90 Your new machine is more capable, so ease off and be a little more laid back with the throttle. You'll soon adapt
  12. 4 years ain't bad for a battery of any sort. Glad it's sorted
  13. How you gunna fix it if you don't even have a spark plug spanner. Buy tools or ring the mechanic. Yes and check the kill switch if it's a honda.
  14. Had lots, none at the mo. Getting better at not getting caught, I ain't slowed down. Must admit I tend to adhere to 30 in built up areas. 60 in a 30 is very silly. You're risking having a death on your conscience. Go to Gaol, Go directly to Gaol, do not pass Go, do not collect £200. And send some flowers
  15. Wind protection is all that can be relied on. All trousers leak eventually and crash protection is theoretical.
  16. Argh! The helmet is a piece of protective safety equipment. More distractions are not needed. The flexibility of the neck should not be underestimated. Lifesavers not gadgets are the answer to the un asked question
  17. Excellent I bought one of them George Formby Grills. Burgers have "Tuned out nice again"
  18. Why would they start justifying prices They always have two options though, take it or leave it
  19. Had a Lambretta back in the day. Had me own Parka, Northern soul records and everything. Got fed up of being blown off at the lights. Moved to bikes. Great...Discovered leather........bought some Def Leppard , AC.DC........ grew me hair.............got to stop washing and everything.
  20. Just scared myself, who ever said "quiet as a mouse".......never trod on one
  21. I've been trying to book tickets for an Elvis tribute act. Nobody is picking up at the box office. I keep getting the answer machine, press 1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready............. Uh huh!
