Now in Germany close to Titisee. And about to have a meal. Beer already. nice day tomorrow, hopefully for the ride down to join the Alpenstrasse- probably at Fussen. I might even stop to take some photos. Pleased to say not a single mile of motorway since crossing. meal was nice if typically unpronounceable!!

no. Shabby describes it wonderfully. Stayed at the municipal for €5

Now in St Die having a very large cold drink. The air is very warm and I’m starting to flag, might make it across the Rhine or stay at another municipal. Not sure. The intention was to get to Titisee. But I’m running out of enthusiasm. It’s hit and very muggy.

Spending the night in Sezanne. across to the Black Forest tomorrow. One rain storm which was over in minutes. Just very warm. Sezanne is a lovely little town

This weather has been so awful. summer. what summer? sigh. heading south on Friday and crossing to Frenchy France on Saturday where the sun always shines and every day is a holiday and made perfect for absconding weirdos. Not sure where Im going to end up. point and squirt. But one thing.. no motorways once across. Now that plan has already been scuppered by those Frenchy French closing a road at the tunnel. the swines. so onto the motorway and then immediately off again not even a hop skip and jump. probably heading for the land of dried sausage and kebabs with very expensive Champagne all around. then onto the Black Forest and through. its a plan of sorts. though not much of a one. I need weissbier. maybe an Italian pizza made in Italy and cooked by genuine Italians. maybe. not sure. Anyway.. if there's a goal in the short term its to spot one of these signs and follow it. Isn't it nice of these lovelies to get a nice new one ready for me. I'm so pleased.

Best to get as much no claims bonus as possible or they are liable to give you a punishing insurance quote. I would leave it until near the time that both your CBT and Insurance are due to run out or expire. And try not to claim in the meantime. Once you have your A2 then you can carry on riding your 125 while saving up for a bigger bike. Having both a full license and at least 2 years NCB is actually quite a big deal as far as insurance goes. the more complete years the better.

What summer jacket

This is why I don't buy online. I can't be doing with the messing about if it don't fit. my problem is always the length. being a tad on the tall side to get the length often means buying for the morbidly obese.. and im hardly that. so its always a struggle. I might earmark something Ive seen and then be disappointed because a size that fits me.. doesnt. (even if it does - kinda). Its a pain but something that's just normal for me. The halcyon days were when Heine Gericke first opened and were rammed with German gear. they used to understand that people can be tall and slim. here and now, not so much. -
sounds like you have a friendly neighbourhood curtain twitcher. the type who spends all their time looking for something to complain about. My bet is that this person is well known to the police and somehow this complaint slipped through the filter. I wouldn't worry about it.

he’s moved on to pastures new. Trying and failing to troll Spaniards without the inconvenience of moving to Spain. No great loss.

Turns out my nights have finished. had a phone call then an email last night, due to last minute dramas, they have a place available and put me down for 2 training days. 9:30 - 4, today and the same tomorrow. which means the night shifts I was due are impossible. you can't be awake all night then be expected to go to training 2hrs after getting home. So today: Trauma informed support. and tomorrow. Emotionally unstable personality disorder. Pretty good result. Ive worked with people with EUPD in the past, usually interesting characters. We have one where Im based now. 2 more days and my Holidays begin midnight Wednesday (officially) but actually 4pm Tuesday! Oh frabjous day. I shall have to do something. go somewhere.

what I save on porn. I spend on tools. which at my age is about as exciting as life gets. I have hot flushes at the mention of Gedore, Hazet and Stahlwille makes me fall to the ground and foam at the mouth. but the less said about that the better. I hasten to add I have nothing made by these brands. purely aspirational. I do cheap. but what was cheap is no longer. (thanks Boris - missing you already) and my cheap might not equal your cheap. chirpy chirpy cheep cheep. Call me old fashioned, but when a half inch driver breaks at a torque under 45nm. I couldn't really give two hoots about a lifetime warranty. for a start I was stuck and couldn't jump into a non existent car to get another. what I did was borrow one from a neighbour and then donate the entire set to medical research. yes.. I had what might be described as a drama. I remember that day vividly. in fact I occasionally have nightmares about it as the trauma was so deep. I've not had a tool break since. Im sure I have some valium somewhere....

10mm spanner and socket. more than anything else. and guard it with your life as they tend to disappear as if by magic. I had a look at what I have on Amazon and was absolutely horrified by the price increases. A Brexit benefit, obviously. So I'll keep quiet about them and the guys can recommend you stuff from Halfords. (probably) I hate to admit that I own nothing bought from Halfords, aside from a broken foot pump that I try not to think about, plus a broken 10mm hex which I keep as a reminder. I don't think about them much as Im likely to start throwing random objects.. and the windows. think of the windows!!

Sunday is it? working permanent nights means Im never completely sure what day it is. obviously being surrounded my schizophrenics doesn't help either. But, hey ho. Sunday. a day off. feet up. do nothing. Bike will stay under its cover as I make a point of never riding it on this day of all days. worst day of the week in my opinion. Two more shifts and then a little break. time away from the murderers and arsonists. And it looks like the timing is perfect with the weather the way it is. Roll on Wednesday morning 7am. And I'm done until Monday 3rd.

Definitely look oem and to a degree the same as mine though there are no visible wires on mine. Red light when on plus level displayed on the instruments. Flash a few times when shutting down too. I suspect they’re an accessory made for Honda added either at or after purchase. mine.

This is when its best to phone.. the websites are very much generalised. Q plates aren't much of a thing anymore. Cant remember the last time I saw one on the road. though I see one daily on a mystery bike that's permanently covered.

Definitely the end of the world. Today I did nothing to the bike beyond checking it was still there. unsurprisingly, it was. (is) Another night shift tonight with the perpetually bewildered. (sigh)

If she is asking the question. scooter or motorbike. I would suggest a scooter might suit her needs better. for a first bike. she can always switch if she gets a taste for it and wants to move beyond a 125. Though the super scooters are pretty good too. Theres one in particular that Im very tempted by and every time I go to the Honda dealership do my best to avoid asking for a test ride for fear of liking it too much. Its a 750 mind. If she does decide on a scooter. Japanese or Italian only. don't be tempted by anything Chinese.

I prefer E40 to E65 if it’s a good cask strength. That reminds me I’m down to a single bottle of Asbach. And that will never do. seriously it’s not something I think about. Though I was shocked yesterday when I considered the implications of thinking that £1.41 was a good price for petrol!!! to think that the fuel protests were when it reached 85p and it was like the end of the world!!!

You can go right off some people.

Bumot luggage is great. compared to some more 'common' brands. I really like the top box I got. great size for my purposes. 30L. I dont need it to store my helmet.

And today in an ecstasy of excess. the dreaded 16,000 service. though Honda have seen fit to downplay it and call it an "Annual" - the swine. Chatting to the tech and he was impressed by the state of my chain. And then gave me chapter and verse on the state of some of the chains he's seen on much younger bikes than mine. "You use oil - don't you". Gear oil and paraffin I said and he nodded in that kind of way that tends to infuriate people who think they know better than the engineers who design and test chains. Anyway. that's done and now the countdown begins.

Today I bought roadside rescue. and went for green flag. I looked at their website and went through the quote process. it came out at just over a £100. including European rescue. I thought I might find cheaper so I popped over to compeer the meerkat. and oddly, they told me the same thing would be £51. I was moderately surprised by this result. but hey ho. in for a penny. and bought it. Direct from green flag. £100+ Via a comparison site that earns commission. £51 makes perfect sense.. the worlds gone mad.
