Hi Slowlycatchymonkey it looks that way at the moment, Sammy's is free, if you want to use the cafe etc, you normally only pay to go in the Museum. I know the 12th May Autojumble will be a pay as you enter event, so extra admission. But feel free to come and buy some Crap off my Stall there, with any luck I should be selling there. I'm not sure about the other 2 events that month. But the Autojumble does get a bit busy, so i would pencil that one out if it's for a meet up.

If it's a Import then probably very little paperwork on mileage side, just look at overall condition of bike! BMW engines are renown for the paint to come off the front casings? So a look at front casing can normally give some idea if it has been looked after and mileage, But a lot of Jap imports are very Low mileage. And been to DK a couple of times, and yes some of their bikes are Spares and Repairs only, but normally they are listed and sold as such. And always found them very helpfull, In fact trailered a bike up to them some time ago for a new exhaust, They are also Delkevic exhaust company, They made a complete Exhaust for the bike in Question and then brought the bike with new pipes back to my mates house in Poole, completely Free of charge. Can't argue with that for sevice.

Use to be with CN for about 15 years, but changed to Peter James insurance years ago, currently paying £227.98 for 5 bikes, fully comp with £50 excess on 3 bikes and £200 on the 2 newer ones. Includes unlimited mileage and full UK and European breakdown cover. As long as you have a Classic bike you should be able to insure a newer one at good rates.

Got one...it's in the bottom draw with the Wal Phillip's Fuel Injector. And it will stay there. Wow a Wal Phillip's Fuel Injector, takes me back, to a lot of blown up BSA bantam engines in my youth.

Well I for one always run K&N Air filters on the Bikes I used to use for work, if K&N did them, and 3 of my bikes now have K&N Filters, I just find it cheaper in long run than keep buying Air filters. On bikes I know I'm not keeping long I use Hi-Flo, but for my highest mileage bikes got to be K&N, as for engine wear don't really need know as I rarely take a engine apart on modern bikes. Current VFR's have 104,000 and 88,000 miles, and yes I know these aren't high compared with some peoples, but I never really had a problem. Never been inside the VFR's engine.

rennie I have to wait to catch highlights on Channel 4?, as we don't subscribe to Tv channels, never seem to have time to watch a full race nowadays, apart from when at trackside

Westbeef Rea had two outings in MotoGP, in 2007 on Casey Stoners Honda finished 7 and 8th, As for Alvaro Bautista, Phillip Island is one off his best tracks, and I reckon if he's hungry for it he's going to give the brits a run for there money this year, And World Superbikes could do with a bit of spice!!! it's a long time since he won his 125 championship in 2006.

In 1974 i was involed in a very serious RTA, it was in the early hours of the morning, parked up sat on my bike of the time a Kawasaki H1B 500, parked outside the local beefburger stand. I was parked along side couple mates bikes, with the left hand side of bike slightly out from line of parked cars. A porsche came down the road towards me and as he got about 3 cars away he started clipping the parked cars. I grabbed a handlefull of front brake just a he slammed into my left leg, my foot took the full force of the car, two things saved my foot according to ambulance crew, 1 is the fact the H1B engine sticks out wide on l/h side and took a hell of a hit, bent the tapered part of crankshaft!!!!! and the fact just finished work and had my Steel toecap Boots on. The Guy in car behind didn't see car coming and lost part of his right leg as he went to get in his car, Porsche driver then snapped toe link on his l/h wheel, 2 cars chased after him for 3 miles, by this time tyre and rim had worn away and he was down on the brake disc, he never stopped. Police found the car next morning in repair shop having the work done. Driver was still pissed!! Rant over But yes, without Steel toecaps i would have probably lost my Toes or even foot

1991 Suzuki GSF 600 Cylinder
oldgrump replied to SilkeGrisen's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
Hi SilkeGrisen your Gsx fires like most inline fours 1 and 4 on one coil, 2 - 3 on the other coil, if engine only firing when rev's are high, I would say the pilot jets are blocked in carb's. With any misfire first change fuel if bike been sat long time, and don't forget to drain carb's, and also put a new set of plugs in all cylinders. Then see if any change. But new plugs and new fuel first. -
Hi Tiggie as JRH mentioned, this is what I did 10 year's ago, got a company to make a 3 sided shed, 9 X 11that pushed up to back wall of garage, then cut a doorway in back wall of garage, so a bit more secure because you have no door in shed and access is through garage. Boarded it inside and stuck insulation between shed and board, warm as toast , then just filled it up with tons of junk , Must admit shed roof needs refelting hence tarpaulin at moment.

Hi Tim, Black Mountain Rider Try this link for Manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/948706/Husqvarna-Cr125-2007.html.
-
Hi, Try this website, then dealer search, List all main dealers in UK. www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com, what model 125 is it and year?
-
Hi Tim, welcome to the forum. It should be a normal r/h thread, so when engine running the nut tightens up. When you undo nut there may be a internal thread inside flywheel, that takes a puller and pulls off flywheel. As you say it's on a tapered shaft with a woodruff key. Once you remove flywheel there's normally another plate that has the stators on, then behind that is the seal. The seal sometimes can be removed from engine at this point, But on some 2 strokes the seal has a lip and can only be fitted after a complete engine strip and fitted from the inside. The Bearing is normally fitted to the crankcase, again only ever fitted internally. I would see if you could locate a manual, or a crankshaft seal to see if there's a lip on it. And if you have oil coming out then it may mean r/h seal has also gone allowing oil from gearbox into combustion chamber.

Hi MarkW found these on Ebay, Item no 253958248916 might take awhile to get them, have you got a Car Breaker near you. Looks like they fit a lot of cars so they maybe able to help.
-
Hi, First off I would slacking the four bolts quite alot on the linkage underneath swingarm, and then see if you can move suspension up and down. and if still no movement undo swingarm bolt. You never said if it's something you brought or you have ridden before?
-
Hi markhibberd5 , check but I think the rear bleed nipple on the SV is M8 x 1.25, the link Fastbob sent was for the Front, which are smaller, I think they are M6 x 1. But check before ordering, I use my Local Motorcar discount store, they normally keep in stock and are a bit cheaper. And try using this stuff from Eurocarparts Normfest Super Crack Ultra 400ml Product Code: NOR28944421 to get bolts out. Need to spray a lot but really does work.

Hi @Hoggs, you really stepped up with this challenge, looks good and love the extra's tags, looking forward to a good year, just trying to figure out how to get the bike to Denver

How much to sell bike for Scrap - Crack in Frame - Ninja 650 2017
oldgrump replied to rforjoe's topic in Motorbike Chat
Hi as fastbob has said, the engine hasn't dropped because the two rear bolts are still intact, and also look at the rear of exhaust pipe, if the engine had dropped the tail piece would be on the swingarm. As Bob has said the Frame has moved upwards without the front engine bolts being in place, in fact I would say he's a lucky guy that it hasn't snapped. And if you were going to try and repair you would need to take it to a frame straighter, they can normally jig it back in line, had a Yamaha Thundercat done once when I flipped doing a Stoppie!!! and bent the tail section. The price of a new frame direct from Kawasaki Dealer is £1252.21.
