1. Sadly no TT this year, however, TT lock in will be televising highlights from some of the best races from the last 28yrs. Schedule has now been announced and can be viewed on Bennetts website here: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/racing/isle-of-man-tt/news/lock-in-isle-of-man-tt-2020-announced The racing will be hosted by the official IOM TT website "see below" and starts on the 6th of June: https://www.iomttraces.com
2. A few of my old trusty steeds, some old and a couple present, namely MT10 and CRF, I wish I still had photos of some of the bikes I had from years ago but this is a cross section of faithfuls....
3. I have a 7, I use it mainly when paragliding, 4k mode is amazing, super easy to use and set up, as discomfort said, 60fps is also what I have mine set on and its works well, I also used it when diving on holiday and clipped onto my off road bike. So far no complaints, I can't compare it to the 8 as I've never even looked at them, but the 8 would have to be offering some pretty substantial improvements for me to consider upgrading
4. This is the main reason for trying this Even though I have a large screen thats like a barn door I get too much buffeting on the top of my helmet Exactly, I used to start feeling it on the Tenere at about 65-70mph, on a long journey I'd get of the bike and feel like I needed a neck brace! With a bit of tweaking, I found the flip up screen was one of the best mods I ever did.
5. I had a similar one on the Super Tenere I used to have Stu, it was a god send on the trip I did to Verbier, hot weather and it it allowed me to direct the wind where it was needed most. I also found it went a long way to help cut down the head buffeting you often get at speed with ADV bikes, it was money well spent
6. Hadn't thought of that but yes, so right!

MT10 Help

OK This is really simple I know but its doing my head in! Small clip on MT10 Hugger, holds rear brake line in place (see photo). Does anyone know how to remove this clip from the hugger without breaking it?? I've pushed, pulled, twisted and it doesn't seem to want to budge! "Should have been an easy job compared to replacing the brake lines" I'm sure its something simple but I can't figure it out
11. Thanks Pete will send you a message
12. Does anyone know where I can get a genuine workshop manual for a 1978 Kawasaki Z650? I found one online that states 1978 but its actually for a later model....Cheers
13. TT 2021 DEPOSIT BOOKINGS OPEN ON MONDAY 25th MAY AT 8:30AM At this time of year we’re usually gearing up for our busiest fortnight of the season, when thousands of bike fans normally sail to the mecca of motorsport to enjoy the Isle Man TT Races. Sadly, the Island will be unusually quiet at the end of May, as the Isle of Man TT Races 2020 have been cancelled due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). In response to the event’s cancellation in March, we acted quickly and were able to provide passengers who already had fully paid bookings for TT 2020 with an automated transfer process, so that their booking could be moved to like for like sailings in 2021. We were delighted to see so many race fans take advantage of the transfer process and confirm that they will be joining us on the Isle of Man in 2021. From Monday 25th May 2020 at 8.30am, we will be releasing the remaining spaces on our provisional sailings for TT 2021 for new deposit bookings. Deposits of £60/€72 for any vehicle type and £15/€18 for a foot passenger will be available by visiting www.steam-packet.com, or by calling 08722 992 992* (UK) or 0044 8722 992 992* (ROI & outside UK). Please note that our ports remain closed to customers, so face-to-face reservations will not be possible. Confirmation of sailings and fares will be sent out towards the end of 2020, with final balance payments due by the end of February 2021. Any bookings which are not paid in full will be put back on sale the following month. Additional staff will be drafted in to help handle calls, however we are expecting a very high volume of enquiries and ask for your patience as we assist other customers. If you do need to make or amend a reservation for travel outside of the TT period over the next few days, then we would advise doing so ahead of Monday’s release. With around 70% of TT 2020 bookings transferring to TT 2021 already, many of the more popular dates to travel are already very close to being sold out. There’s still good availability across non-peak sailings, so if you don’t already have a booking secured for TT 2021, make sure you don’t miss out by booking your deposit when they go on sale on Monday 25th May 2020!
14. You sacked him remember, said he was a useless twat, I thought you were a bit harsh @manxie49 What happened to six mod gig, six happened, there were so many flounces it was like the grand national. Welcome back, good news about the wife, hopefully this covid crap will be behind us soon.
15. Yes, sadly GP has been cancelled as well: https://www.visordown.com/news/general/2020-classic-tt-and-manx-gp-events-have-been-cancelled Everyone is looking forward to next year now and hoping things improve by then
16. Good to hear from you Rich, I'm certainly gonna miss TT and FOM this year .... Heres looking forward to 2021 and hoping it'll be better for all of us
17. Well not a newbie just someone who’s been away and now returning to the fold. After an extremely stressful 2019, January gave my wife and myself the news she was hoping to hear “she’s in remission”, this brought an end to continual treatments and hospital visits, massive weight lifted! Although 2020 has been pretty crap due to the pandemic, last year has made me realise things can always be worse. Nice to see some old, familiar faces here, and WTF, Six, still no MOD position!! What happened…. Anyway, all the best, be good to catch up with one or two of you again
18. If your still there , sorry to see you go ,from one Ex-Serviceman to another Cheers Mucker .... stay safe - utrinque Paratus

20. Just clearing my locker out ..... thanks guys and all the best

22. I've decided to leave the forum and wanted to say cheerio to some really good, knowledgeable and friendly individuals, 2019 has been a shite year for me and my family, more than anyone here could possibly know, this forum, to a degree, has given me at least some distraction, we're looking forward now to putting this year in the rear view mirror and moving on, and away. Since joining I've met a couple of really spot on people, as with every walk of life though there are also some egocentric, puffed out chests .... but that's life! Six, I hope you get your MOD post mate, you get my vote (and you can stop hiding in Rennies wardrobe), Geofferz, thanks for the help and free advice on the bike buddy, it really was appreciated. I want to wish everyone well, regardless of egocentrism or not, stay safe out there on the roads and I hope you all enjoy many years and many miles of carefree riding, it's been a pleasure. All the very best
23. FFS MANY APOLOGIES, IT WAS SENT TO ME BY SOMEONE WHO ASKED FOR IT TO BE REPOSTED, I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO RESEARCH THIS STUFF .... IS IT SUCH A MAJOR PROBLEM? THEY WERE CAUGHT , GREAT STUFF! MODERATORS PLEASE DELET THE POST FOR F-----G CRYING OUT LOUD MAY HAVE BEEN "WELL SAID" AS GGOSEWELL SUGGESTS, YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE MORE TIME TO SIT IN FRONT OF A F-----G COMPUTER EACH DAY THAN I DO!
24. Mine was a Honda CX500, bought for £400, ex despatch riders bike, big V Twin thumper, got me through a couple of crappy winters that bike, the day I bought it I nearly fell of on my way home, riding down Welford Road in Leicester, first ever shaft driven bike, went down the gearbox to fast and locked the back wheel! Lesson learnt.
