  1. WoW that was quick working that one out Enjoy your trip and hope it all goes well. Not for me sorry I'm off down the RDGA next year.
  2. I'm sure there will be plenty on here that will be along and offer good advice. Have a look at www.ride.co.uk for ideas on routes for starters. Good Luck IMO I have found that our European neighbours are more biker friendly and are more aware of bikers; however you still have to be vigilant and have your wits about you They usually expect you to pass, so they move over slightly . Saying that the luftwaffe or Bundespolizei will have you for filtering Priorite a droit isn't as popular but still exists out in the sticks of France, only last week coming back from Sarlat I came across plenty of them. People will say Google is your friend, well not when route planning over the winter months trying to create routes for your summer trip over the alps We have always found secure parking
  3. Good on yer Samuel. However when in the Alps you will do well to average 35mph On the B500 you will do well to do 90kph without the gestapo sneaking up on you astride his Bavarian fun stopper My advice is enjoy it and be careful
  4. Hi Samuel The Hull to Rotterdam is an overnighter and it's only about an hour and a half ride. Once at Rotterdam you can be in the Rhineland in just over 3hrs. Just saying Edit: As stu says
  5. Enjoyed the ride today . It was good to meet up with 2WheelSolo. The route from Buxton back to Lymm was a road I had never taken before; thanks to 2WheelSolo for that one . Great video, good to see I still can't ride after 36 years of picking up bad habits At 8.04 is where I was hit head on back in 2014 It's a pity the FWR's never made it There was even a curvy ladies group riding out over to Wales leaving from Lymm this morning
  6. Wonderful. I hope it all works out for you. Any reason for going all the way to Southampton instead of Hull to Rotterdam
  7. My Boots. TCX Explorer Evo GTX. Super comfy and keep my feet warm and dry in rainy cold weather. Oh and my heated gilet
  8. If the M6 re opens in time (tongue in cheek) I will probably be there on the Bavarian Mudslinger (Red GS) Will keep an eye on the post and weather. Once got hit by a car head on going over the Cat & Fiddle a few years back it wasn't my fault either
  9. Hello Only just registered so unsure if this will appear in time! Being a newbie on the forum I wouldn't mind tagging along. Will you be at the front of McDs at Lymm Services.
