@Fish Brilliant. I really like the bike, I thought exactly as you say, its missing something. Having said that, I'm still thinking about it, I have the KTM 890 and that engine is wicked.

Some people have no issues with them. Unfortunately, my experience with Oxford Clothing hasn't been great. I have sent a Mondial Jacket and trousers back twice before, I hope you have a better experience and yours are what Oxford Claim to be. I actually like the Mondial Jacket and Trousers, but they're not waterproof like Oxford Claim.

ME. I AM A KNOB, for thinking my Oxford Rainseal over trousers would keep me dry during my commute home. Why I don't listen to myself is beyond belief . I know they are Sh*te, I've always commented on here how sh*te they are, but no, oh no. I woke up to see frost on the car windscreen, but the sun was shining . Weather forecast saying fine and dry this morning but rain closing in, in the afternoon. I'm working in the office today, so its on with the Rukka Jacket, Bull-it Jeans, casual boots and the Keis gloves. I thought I would put the over trousers in the rucksack just in case the rain does close in, it might only be a gentle shower . Its only a 40 min commute, mainly on Motorway and A580, but boy did it rain, and the spray from all the other traffic made for a good soaking (bearing in mind, I had only cleaned the bike on Sunday ). Got home, torso was dry as a bone, feet dry as a bone, hands dry and warm. crotch totally wet through. Pleased to say the Oxford Rainseal Trousers are now in the bin, shortly to be accompanied by the over Jacket. something I should have done a long time ago. Rant over

After reading many of the ride reports, it reads like you do have a good time. Its a great area that I have been many times, either staying in Klotten or Kyllburg and more recently in Dasburg. Its a good area to play and especially for newbies, not too crowded and great roads.

I have a Richa Hoodie, for the casual look when worn with denim jeans while at work. The hood doesn't act like a sail. The hood is detachable and doesn't look like motorcycle wear.

I thought I would try the Rhinowalk 30L Luggage, cheap as chips with quality to match Not really a review because I haven't actually used it yet. It arrived, well packaged. The first thing I noticed was the polyester is not the same quality/weight as Kreiga, more like a builders 1 tonne bulk bag It has a neat document pocket with a waterproof zip! and on the other side it rubber netted back, probably to stop it moving around, but it could also hold a map etc. It straps to the bike through buckles and hoops, just like Kreiga, but comes with two optional shoulder straps, however the plastic clip connectors do not integrate with Kreiga. It has a roll top so theoretically it should keep the rain out. I'm impressed, for something as cheap as it was £38, but I know you get what you pay for. I have packed it with a weeks worth of clothing etc and it holds far more than my Kreiga 30L. Fits easily on the back of the bike, secured by the 4 straps, however; I would take additional Rock Straps just in case. Its also says waterproof, I think I would add my waterproof external rucksack cover. The roads and motorways in the UK are busier than ever, so, I have decided to leave the Bumot luggage at home this year and travel with the tail pack and backpack. I will provide feed back after it has been used for the trip.

Oh Bollox never realised it was half term at the end of May. Anyhow, Eurotunnel now booked, accommodation now booked, except for the last nights accommodation, still pondering where to stay on the return leg, maybe looking at Chalons-en-Champagne or Troyes

Oil and filter change, brake fluid change, chain checked along with the other 500 or so checks the KTM dealer so called does at the service. Just clocked over 4200 miles in the last 12 months, probable put another 1K before my trip. Now the question is 'do I replace the tyres before the tour in May'. I have read reports of people riding 9K with the Avon Trailriders before changing them.

End of May is Booked

I'm trying to sort out a trip this year, usually, I like to take either the first week in June or the first week in September; however, this year, its not possible for me to use those weeks. My options now are either May Spring Bank Holiday (Last week in May) or 3rd Week in September. I am trying to plan a route down to Interlaken, were I would stay for 4 days (camping). But I keep thinking how good the Glossglockner could be in May. Trying to plan a good route is getting harder as I cant make my mind up I only have a week and I don't mind putting in the mileage on the first day to be in an easy reach of my destination. Its choosing where to go that is the hardest.
