    Garages

Does anyone know of / can reccommend a decent bike garage in rotherham/sheffield, that wont rip me off? Nothing needs doing just yet, but I'd rather know before something happens lol
  2. They look quite sturdy, aesthetically pleasing too. I'd get some if I were in the market
  3. I dunno if you can or not, but I dont think I'd trust it even if it were repaired.
  4. I like the new rear light, Where are the indicators? I cant see them , If they are integrated into the rear light, I thought you had to have a pair of isolated lights, regardless of the ones integrated? BTW, Im on a b6 (restricted obviously), how much difference was there when you jumped on a b12?
  5. Why do you need UK road tax to drive in europe? or is it EU road tax now?
  6. Search "european motorcycle laws" on google, the second links seem to have good advice
  7. No experience with that specific bike, so I couldn't say. I suppose it depends if you are using existing wiring and just replacing the switch, or replacing the whole lot. And where the loom is.
  8. I might get myself one of those £7 cameras, how/where would you mount it?
  9. I doubt that using a kickstart used battery, a kickstart is just a spring recoil starting mechanism, kicking it down winds the spring and is released at the end of the kicking action to turn over the engine, Bikes with no battery use kick starters!

    rear break

I generally only use my back brake if I need to slow in a corner, and as a hand brake when stopped. Stopping when upright I just cover the brake in case I need it.
  12. I filter on the parkway from handsworth ASDA to park square roundabout every weekday morning (weather permitting), and I just love it

    Frozen lock

This morning I went to get my bike out, took off my disc lock, placed the key in the barrel and attempted to turn it. Not a sausage, eventually I bent my key slightly and then it wouldn't come out! I was frustrated at this point (bearing in mind I should have set off for work 15 minutes ago) Finally found some WD40 and gave it a squirt, I had to bend the key back to its original position before the key would come out. After it came out I put the key back in and it turned.....Strangely, this annoyed me lol, Thank god Ive got a few spares! >_< Also my battery sounds like it's lost a lot of juice, struggled to start this morning... Time to put it on charge I think, shame theres no power in my garage, as its detached (and consequently, as cold as outside)
  14. I dont know, maybe price has nothing to do with it, afterall they've got to follow the same regulations as the expensive ones. Probably just paying for the name =/
  15. Just read that aftermarket exhausts may increase power output, but obviously im on a restricted license, so if it's true I cant . But I was thinking, will it actually increase the power output, as I've restricted my bike at the carbs so air is bottlenecked at that point. Anyone have any thoughts?
  16. Im thinking about getting a slip-on exhaust for my bike, and replacing it with the stock one, the can comes with the bit of pipe (forgive my ignorance) that connects to the down pipes. So what's involved? Is it major surgery?

    Chain noise

Reinforces the lazy way of dealing with problems, ignore it and it will go away. Excellent!
  18. confirmed, it's a 22mm on the chain side, and a 24mm on the exhaust side
  19. NOS is the brand/manufacturer, N20 is the chemical formula, 1 Nitrogen and 2 oxygen
  20. Im still only 20......so even if I'd have waited until I was 21, it would have been 2 years anyway So I'd rather ride a restricted 600 than a 125
  21. 12 Months and 2 days ago, I passed my mod 2 with 1 minor. Only 1 more year of asphyxiating restriction left!

    GPZ Woes

Not an expert in the least, so this is only a suggestion I'd check that your spark plugs aren't gunged up, as well as giving the battery a good charge (turning over a million times uses juice) I had a bike that didn't like starting (or running for that matter) turned out I had lost compression in at least 1 cylinder
