  1. I'm with you on the UHT I have it in tea and coffee. On holiday in Malta one year I was unwell for about 4 days until we made the link with the UHT on breakfast cereal it was in a jug so didn't know. Was fine after not using that in the morning. Apparently the process of making UHT can make it harder for the body to process the proteins. I'm not sure about sweeteners but I do know some sugar free sweets can have a laxative effect!
  2. Yes shame really some even try to look away when you do it. Weekends are worst
  3. You could have saved a bit of time and fuel doing it the indian way and put a load of shopping on there too whilst wearing sandals!
  4. It's odd I find it's gs and multi strada riders that don't acknowledge you. Harley riders either give a very enthusiastic wave or nothing
  5. Interesting electric news Visordown: Could niobium be the future of electric bikes? Horwin thinks so. https://www.visordown.com/news/industry/could-niobium-be-future-electric-bikes-horwin-thinks-so
  6. But so right I'm sure. I was checking a critical illness policy at work I should have been in line for an 11k payout but nope reading the small print!
  7. A other vote for unlikely but I do carry my clear Visor on the bike too in the event of it being an issue
  8. Anything well maintained is holding its price just take a look at some of the used prices and see what new deals there are it's all budget based. I've gone with pcp I'll most likely hang onto my current bike and get a loan at the end of the pcp or cash in an investment to pay the remainder off.
  9. Maybe he is right but if you take a look at some recent YouTube reviews many rate it. Its a different bike with lower revs so will be different. I've gone to an Africa Twin from a Tracer 900 so very different, yes not so lively as a triple but still very flexible and fun to ride but less likely to want to thrash it than the Tracer. A more chilled out ride is less tiring so ideal for longer tours. If you can try and get some test rides on a new vstrom and Nc750 the engines ain't changed massively over the years. The nc comes in 3 forms the s the x and the x adv scooter. For me I'd go with the x but it's all down to choice.
  10. Here's for something a little bigger... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275275609877?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=RVd-CJ51SeK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=ZPITfT4aSPa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  11. Once by mistake
  12. Nc750 would be in the price bracket another good choice
  13. I'd 2nd the vstrom the 650 or 1000
  14. Tonight's beer of choice, one of my favourites!
  15. I find interacting with humans overrated I prefer animals for company far more sensible!
  16. Makes sense to get another if it fits the bill for you. I do like the look of the newer sv650x cafe racer style. Suzuki have a good knack at being able to reincarnate bikes over a long time. If it's not broke don't fix it!
  17. I thi k for thrill factor the sv650 is a great bike they doesn't break the bank. Lovely sounding engine too
  18. I have this I think it was from eBay, accurate to within a couple of PSI had it 3 years. It's never going to inflate a tyre from flat but keeps them topped up. Will easily do 4 tyres on the car too. Compact to carry and charges up quickly
  19. Yep it should all be pay at pump but the bosses don't like it they want people to come into the shop and buy stuff, I seldom buy anythng in the shops. On the anpr thing yes most use cloned plates or adjusted with a bit of black tape. Dead easy to get dodgy plates made up criminals buy the machines to make the plates
  20. Lovely photo hope you and the bike all OK
  21. So went out this evening to get some fence paint and an unexpected trip further along to have fish and chips by the River courtesy of Mrs H. Even more unexpected on the way home was to find a guy sat half in the middle of the road distressed. So call the rozzers and pull over, said guy then starts playing with the traffic walking towards a blind crest of a hill on a 50 limit. Long story short I had to play chicken with the traffic to stop him getting squished while the wife corralled traffic with the car. I genuinely think humanity is stuffed when people won't wait and slow down and would rather shout abuse at you overtake and try to kill themselves other motorists and the guy to get where they are going slightly quicker. Hats off to the handful of sensible people who put their hazards on and slowed the world down until the rozzers came and scooped the poor guy up before he got hurt
  22. Some garages have issues with claiming against their insurance for 'bilkings' if they don't request the wearer to take the lid off before filling. If I'm in a rush I tend to use the local chip and pin Asda no faff helmet stays on and no issues. Fuel theft is a big problem and most the garages are not owned by the fuel companies they don't get the big slice of the pie so I guess it hits them in the pocket when folks don't pay
  23. the old girl will have a very happy owner soon I'm sure!
  24. Exactly what I do its just as quick too
