  1. I just read on another article on MCN that he threw up in his helmet when he got that podium in Catalunya
  2. Just found on Moto GP website. Kallio looks like he is stepping in for him! CLick me, i like it
  3. I think mechanics should be like those accident lawyers, "no fix, no fee". Not sounding good though Dan. Lets just hope Honda can actually work it out
  4. Dare i ask how big the bill is yet Dan? Or how big it will get once youve handed it over to Honda?!
  5. Id say your best bet is a set of textiles but you could always go to a shop and try both leathers and textiles on over your clothing to see what you feel most comfy in. I personally wear textiles to work as i find the trousers easier to get over my work trousers and the jacket breathes a little bit better so i dont turn up with a soggy back! Also there are no locking facilities where i work and id rather loose my £200 each or so textiles as opposed to my £450 odd leather jacket and trousers! At the end of the day leathers or textiles is personal preference though! If youre going for leather jacket, like has been said it needs to be quite snug, if you hold your arms out and try and twist your arms, the armour should move with them. Like vicki said though, they should explain in the shop Good luck
  6. To get the numbers up i heard. They just wanted to increase crodw size over the weekend
  7. If only i had a Triumph! Very nice , great bargain as well
  8. Looks gorgeous! Wish i had a commute like that! Looks like good weather too Obviously not so grim up north eh? Better than most of the stuff i have to go to work past E.g. http://www.yourlocalweb.co.uk/images/pictures/07/69/harrow-civic-centre-75285.jpg
  9. I think nearly everyone on hear would argue that bikes would handle better...but each to their own!
  10. Oh right, but youre still on a CBT right?
  11. I am assuming youre 17 if youre looking at 125s right? So why dont you look at getting a bike? A nice 2stroke sporty bike maybe? He says everything about upgrading the thing to "90mph" (i doubt that) but says nothing about upgrading brakes. Flying along at that speed with crappy original scooter brakes is a death wish waiting to happen. If it is something you want youll also be riding it illegally as its kicking out more power than the limit on a CBT allows I imagine.
  12. Agree with WF and PG here. There are tonnes of videos on youtube about draggin jeans where people are dragged on their ass at about thirty mile an hour and the trousers are still intact. Leathers will/should be stronger than this therefore if good quality wont fall apart at 30 mph. Im fortunate to have both, although prefer the leathers a lot more. I feel safer, more comfortable, more flexible and lets face it youll look better I only use my textiles when its raining at the moment but imagine ill use them when its also freezing out!
  13. You must have literally been standing a few metres away from me!
  14. Exactly like the car test mate. Everything was on the road. Youd go out with the examiner riding round, he'd ask you to pull over then to do the different manoeuvres, U turn and emergency stop. Then youd keep riding rounf and go back to the test centre and youd be told if you had passed or failed . Minors and majors for doing things wrong on the ride or manoeuvres.
  15. Sounds in reasonable condition then! Id sell it as a project, im sure someone will want something like that.
  16. A brief overview of the condition would be helpful before anyone makes a decision! Engine in working order? (Assuming its not then what's wrong with it?), fairings, paintwork, tyres? etc.
  17. J&S sell these mate. Have a look on there website and see if there is one close to you. Fit is the most important thing about a helmet. If it doesnt fit right then it will be useless. If that one doesnt fit there are plenty of other flip helmets around like te Caberg Trip, Nolan do one, Shoei Multitech. Have a shop around

As long as you have one of them you can get it duped i think. If not then thats one hella lotta money youre gona be forking out!
  19. Id say leave it for the day mate. You wont be as alert as you were earlier. When you wake up tomorrow youll be all fresh and ready to go. Like Vicki said, maybe if youre still having trouble at the end of the day you could ask just to go out on a twist and go? You then have the CBT can get a 125 and just practice in your own time.
  20. Just take your time. Dont feel pressured to do it quickly, youre paying to be there so you should be doing things when you feel ready to do it Dont expect to be perfect on a bike straight away. Remember it is only BASIC training, pretty much just to make sure you wont kill yourself when you go out on the road within the first five minutes. If its clutch control that is your main problem ask the examiner if you can concentrate on that for a while, like stop start stop start stop start. Once youve got that nailed then the rest all clicks in to place. Oh and enjoy it !!!!
  21. I know it has been discussed to deat and yes we are all REAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYYY bored by it but i thought you may like to have a look Clicky Not really sure what to think of this, i definitely agree that more test centres need to be created. But i think the swerve is a good idea, just a bit of discretion on the speeds in different conditions etc.
  22. You can also get the bike specific stuff, 'Wonderweb' i think its called. M&P stock it i think.
