  1. Im sure youre young and spritely bex
  2. woop! Another couple of younguns, i thought i was gona be stuck with all the oldies (love you all really)
  3. THey should be snug, but you need to sit down on your bike with them on to see how they fit on the bike. Where are you in the country mate? If youre near Southend or London, i can recommend a brilliant shop that does some custom leathers for a really good price.
  4. cbf 125 is reported to do around 135mpg
  5. Theoretically no one should have any experience at all before they sit their CBT Although we all know thats not always true! Youll be fine, first time i had sat on a bike was on my CBT. Having driven, at least youve got the concept of gears and biting point, although it is quite different on a bike. It may not sound much but one of the guys i did my CBT with couldnt get the hang of gears, biting point and didnt understand what the clutch did at all even after explanation hundreds of times...some obviously arent meant for driving/riding though i guess.
  6. lol yeah bike hire n all... the test its self is jst a tenner! Josh x Woah! Try borrowing a bike? Sucks to hear that you had a tw*t of an examiner though. I know it doesn't help, as i too am a young poor person using every single penny i have to pay for petrol, but like its been said you have everything nailed, it just wasn't your day today. There's a reason for everything Good luck for next time dude!
  7. Happens to me sometimes. What i found always works is to let the clutch out and squeeze again. Think its something to do with the gears clashing.
  8. Unbelievable, havent screamed and shouted at the TV like that in a long time! Prefer his standard lid to be honest
  9. My Kwak i restricted too and also hits a wall at around 10k revs. Not very pleasant but just need to shift up quicker.
  10. I think this is a good idea tinkerbell! Maybe we should all meet just outside the woods nearby and then all the bikes can ride in together, may look quite good?
  11. a Lifesaver is a kind of shoulder check, its the one you do whenever you are crossing the path of traffic. So when youre turning right for example or just before you commit to the u turn. As for other shoulder checks, you should always be doing them when youre changing your position on the road whether it be inside your lane to pass parked cars or to go round a bus on the opposite side of the road. Mirrors should be checked before the shoulder check. Sof if youre coming up to a parked car and need to move out, youd check mirror, check shoulder, move out then check mirror, check shoulder, move in. As for which shoulder to check, you need to check the direction in which youre moving, so moving right, then its right shoulder and vice versa. If youre having lessons then ask youre instructor as well Im sure someone will pick me up on anything i have forgotten to mention!
  12. I think Gem should get a cut of the profits for these! Done a good job of advertising for them
  13. Yup hazard perception is more of a game! The best advice i got for it was click when you see a potential hazard, click when it starts to develop then click when it has developed. But dont click too much though!! As for the questions, just do tonnes of practice questions! When you get em wrong, look up in the highway code why you got it wrong!
  14. Oh dear... That sucks dude, especially as you only got close to Noel Gallaghers ugly mug
  15. The only one i definetly cant do is the weekend of the 20th. But i dont want to commit myself just yet in case i cant come so only put this sunday at the weekend following the 20th. HOpefully should make it, sounds like itll be a rewarding ride
  16. Ok so i found some crash mushrooms that i really liked. They were Puig ones and were about £60 which i thought was quite a decent price. However, M and P wont have any for the next couple of months and Busters dont do them anymore (although theyre still on their website). So i was wondering if you lovely people could help me out Id like a set of the Puig ones but if other similar ones can be found id be more than happy. Id prefereably like some with the zx6r or ninja logo on the end (fussy i know!). The only other ones that i thought looked really nice are the new R&G aero shaped ones but they dont do them for my year of bike. So any suggestions would be appreciated, just dont really want the standard plain black cylindrical ones! Thanks
  17. It took me one hell of a long time to work out why you had said this BUT..... I dont see a problem mixing and matching either, as long as your comfortable i guess!
  18. Got it but no way will i be getting it for the next week or so
  19. Looks awesome Korben! Id love to do this but wouldnt even know how to start planning the rout Have a good rest of trip and hope the weather stays nice and sunny
  20. It is a 125 first off so the speeds youre doing are pretty much top speed. And with many 125s 6th gear is a crusing gear, just to keep the revs down i think.

What bike you got gunmens? Chaining it tightly to something stationary would be good and maybe a cover then you can chain to the bike so it cant be taken off easily? Would deter most people and those that dont know what your bike is may just ignore it.
  23. Its a good idea, i like it Maybe change the title of the thread to get more people to read it? Like...Southern TAG or something. Oh and give us a clue
  24. I think its closer to everyone than the other one!
  25. I have a black one (dark tint) and it is far safer to be wearing one in sunny conditions than a clear one in my opinion. I just keep a clear one in my rucksack, never had a problem. Heard of a few people stopped for wearing them but as soon as they showed they had a clear one with them they just told them to change it when they get home or something.
