  1. Good point and fair consideration - the cost of the new tyre. If you're running cheap ones then deffo get it replaced! I have a decent set of Dunlop tyres on. So they aren't some random Chinese tyre nobody has ever heard of. Aside from the small puncture they are in great condition too. So I'm happy to keep them on for now.
  2. Little update. I took the cautious approach and went to the garage. They sorted me out on the spot and for less than the price of a repair kit.
  3. Mot smaller top box won't have enough space for a full face helmet, my 42l Givi doesn't take my nolan My 37 L shad box fits my lid an XL htc. It will fit my backpack and my peweg chain.
  4. I hadn't though of insurance implications. I must get the details out and see what they say.
  5. I forgot to say which one I was looking at Gryyp Cargol Turn & Go - K004 Kit Seems easiest to use
  6. I've got a puncture in my rear tyre. It looks like it's from a nail which isn't in the tyre any more. The tyre is fairly new and the puncture is in the dead centre of the tyre son ideal spot to repair rather than replace. My bike is a gsxs125 so wouldn't be going over 60 and most 90% of miles are in London traffic. Would these be suitable as a long term solution? They look dead simple to use. They would definitely do for a quick fix but can I use it longer than that?
  7. 66% of injuries are from the knee down. I wonder how much of that is the actual knee and not the foot or ankle?
  8. Most recently I've used ovo and octopus energy. No issues with either. Seems cheapest on the comparison websites and if you can find an offer on the likes of Quidco or topcashback then all the better.
  9. I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. NI have their owe DVLA but I don't think that would be any reason not to be ok with your GB CBT. Maybe giving your insurer a call and ask them to be 100%.
  10. you did say nice bikes didnt you? I fair to see any These 2 were shining in the sun and were a far cry from the dozens of hondas, KTM and Yamaha lined up. They looked great but I'd never have one of these
  11. I'm just back from Chamonix. Lots of nice bikes out and about. None of them mine unfortunately.
  12. Thanks, I've had a look they don't have any reviews under 4 stars which is amazing. I'll give them a call.
  13. Can anyone out there recommend me a bike garage in South West London? I've a slow puncture on my back tyre. Losing about 6 psi a week on it. I'll need to have a proper look and see where the problem is but will need to be looked at for servicing anyway at some point. I've seen this place online. It's a bit down the road but has an ok list of online reviews. https://www.motorcycle-surgery.co.uk/ Has anyone here had dealing with them or anyone else within a reasonable distance of this place?
  14. I wore just normal leather boots I've worn to the pub fory CBT. The centre provided the rest. As mentioned earlier don't buy things until you have done the CBT. Your Timberlands will do you for the day of the CBT.
  15. Yeah I've seen this video for the bicycle version. Id imagine the Moto version is much the same. Would be a great commuter option if it held up better to attack.
  16. I watched TMF YouTube video today on what security he uses. One of them is the litelock Moto. When commuting to work in park on the street and bring my big chain and lock with me. This litelock seems like a great alternative. Gold standard, light weight etc but the gold standard bicycle version is reviewed by the lock picking lawyer and he uses about cutters and is through it in 16 seconds. Not exactly inspiring for the Moto version! I've not seen any genuine review online where they try to destroy it. Any experience here of this lock?
  17. I saw CBT lessons on the road in West London this week
  18. I commute in on my bike to central london daily, well not for a while but will do again some day. Suit trousers were always fine under my textiles or my hood jeans. I keep my jackets in the office. I don't really need it unless I'm meeting clients so one day I brought them in and they just hang there now. Shirts are the hard part. If you're on a sports bike and leaning over it can get creased quicker than a naked. If you can, buy non iron shirts bit do iron them. Non iron shirts used to feel terrible. (Before office jobs was a drycleaner) Tm lewin, CT shirts, Hawes &Curtis etc all do them and they are nice to wear. After the commute the shirt will have some creases but your body heat will smooth these out in an hour. Just make sure your jacket isnt too tight as it will wrinkle a lot then. Finally, once you have a job you could get them washed and ironed in a shop close to your office. Commute in a tshirt and change when you arrive in. Final final option. Store an iron in your office if you can. A bank I worked for had one in the back. It was great, if not a bit odd
  19. They knew about the delays and still sold the quick delivery to you. If you paid it through a credit card then ring your card provider and claim that way. I did this recently. I hired a car for a week, paid extra for excess cover and I had a small accident where the front bumper was scuffed. The wall I hit was fine I paid the excess and then went to insurer to claim excess. I emailed and called repeatedly and nothing for months. I put reviews online and then saw tons of other complaints. I rang my bank, told them the story. Not only did they refund my insurance fee they paid out the total cost of the excess I paid. I never heard from the insurers in the end.
  20. Mine runs out in april. Did 2 weeks ago to get it done early. Luckily I did, otherwise my bike would be parked up for the foreseeable future
  21. Yeah that's the type of thing I am looking for. Something to just rinse off the suds.
  22. It's so crazy it just might work!
  23. My bike is in need of a clean and i hate having dirty cars and bikes. I'm looking for something to replace a pressure washer. I dont have access to power or water where the bike is parked. I've seen ads for various kits that have a bottle or a bucket attached to and hose and brush. Any recommendations on what I could use? Needs to be compact too as I've no space to store a big karcher or something at the moment.
  24. Yeah there is a though think now much the helmet manufactures would charge for them... At the moment I am not blind enough to wear glasses when driving but the day will come Can you imagine someone with a real strong prescription wearing a helmet with a prescription visor. They would have a massive magnified face. Just cruising along freaking everyone out with their huge head
