1. I look forward to it. Snooze time right now then.
2. Come on guys share stuff, you’ve been gone a while.
3. Umm bit embarrassing cos it’s super bright red I’d chosen the blue until I saw the gloss in the flesh! It’s as close as I can currently comfortably get to hi-viz It may be prudent to mensh that helmet city price match (in the uk only) and they fit at the same time. Which means those cheek pads are matched size wise free of charge (I believe they’re over £50 a pair) to ensure you have the optimum fit. Will post my final two challenge photos later and I think the shiny lids in the background of one.
4. Urrrgh to the burden of responsibilities that prevent the fun we should be having! It looks amazing. To quote my rather annoying “blaze a trial” friend who has a knack of using sayings that make you bristle it looks “amazeballs” The tarmac alone sells it. I hope you’re all very tired and very satisfied.
5. Love it. What great pics. I don’t suffer the green eye but somehow right now I am.
6. fullscreenaging I was a very reluctant buyer and now a complete convert. Disappointed it cost the same as a Schuberth but that’s just snobbery which is always best put to bed. griptwister I don’t see a single decent reason that would be illegal although from my experience people who imbibe alcohol require more anaesthetic not less due to their poor ol’ organs processing toxins faster than your average human. That’s why you’re asked about how much you drink when you have surgery. Lying about it is not wise cos coming round during surgery is funny for us most of the time but occasionally very dangerous if your at a delicate moment! Speedy23 yes I get what you mean, if your aware of what’s behind you the entire time (as we all really should be) then a checks not necessary but I’m still newish and speed n skill effects that decision so at the mo a glance before a manoeuvre is the right thing for me.
7. Speedy23 Love it. The ingenuity of people always makes me smile I wonder are they still legal? Although in all honesty I’d be as embarrassed to rock one of those as I was an L plate! Maybe not quite so due to it being a bit of a two fingers but pretty close. It’s a strange transition, I stuck with my L plates for a year out of stubbornness (spell check reveals that is oddly the correct spelling of being stubborn!) because I will master one thing before moving to another, all the while feeling a little like an outsider of a lovely world (didn’t really mind that either, probably my theme tune) but now I’m happy on my 9T and my L plates are gone I’m really pleased to see other folk with L plates on. Happy they are doing something that’s going to bring them lifelong happiness!
8. Lanceautoman Nice write up. £250 is a bargain. For me it comes down more to value for money than actual cost. How many comfortable hours you’ll get out of it compared with another lid and what price not being distracted while riding by bad kit? I too am now a Shoei convert. Picked it up Thursday, rode for hours Friday and Saturday and was amazed how comfortable and functional it was. Pleased I spent the money (although it was an early birthday prezzie so I only paid half ) I thought my neck was too weedy for motorway riding as at higher speeds when checking the blind spot my head was whipped round and required effort to turn it back. Turns out it was just the helmet! I must be Cinderella because as you say the Shoei fits
9. Do sidecars come on and off easily though? If they don’t it might be a pain in the wotnot.
10. Thanks for the update. I’m definitely going next year. Thought Id make it back in time but sadly the google trip time at the reality trip time were wildly different!
11. This year was going to be the first year I was gong to go but now I’m gong to be away in Norwich and am unlikely to make it back in time. I’ve heard it’s worth a look. Give us an update if you go.
12. A metric tonne? That gives scope for nearly another metric tonne before you leave! The body is a frustrating thing, fancy it taking a dislike to suddenly being made to ride 300miles a day, who could of known? Enjoy the days rest.
13. It won’t be painful, you’ll love it and critique yourself more harshly than anyone else ever would but mainly you’ll be flying high!
14. You’ve not had a working bike since Tuesday? And won’t again til Friday? That’s frustrating, I hope your using your time wisely and eating enough to test the suspension on your way back!
15. There’s something a bit willywonka about it. I have many more questions but I think I’ll find a YouTube vid and save you all the pain! On a separate note if that’s your kitchen counter are you living on cornflakes?!
16. How long did that take to fix?
17. I don’t think the test time really matters too much, I wanted to know how long we’ll be waiting for an update!
18. They have a reputation for being a decentish lock so send it back ask for a refund and see if they’re a decentish company!
19. learningtofly you’ll be dandy. Look forward to hearing all about it. What time is your test on Friday?
20. Did get my first 'plastic jam' earlier and don't think I'll ever moan about normal printers again hehe was a pain to get sorted and being impatient didn't wait for things to cool down and sure enough burnt my finger Oh I can offer assistance in the jamming up of printers, I’m good at that! Love the pictures. How is the plastic loaded? What does it look like, are the different coloured cartridges? The plastic looks brittle, is it durable?
21. It really is a revelation. I cant code.... or use a printer very well! Look forward to seeing the results
22. I have that feeling I used to get when the children were young and came home with a painting.... “Oh wow, that’s lovely, really lovely, well done. What is it?”
23. I wouldnt be surprised, they have you over a barrel. I wonder if it counts as theft- to hold onto a parcel when the contents dont belong to you. Bet its a bit of a grey area. You dont get to seize assets for monies owed without going through a strict procedure.
24. Rip.... R9T. Sorry does not compute.
