  1. Have a look on YouTube at the compilations, SC Project do a very nice exhaust for the 750
  2. Looks like there is going to be 4 meetings next year, and they’ve pushed the golf cup forward too so hopefully get some better weather for it although I did enjoy it on Sunday as there was hardly anyone there so got some brilliant spectating spots
  3. Mine lives in the back garden and is chained to a ground anchor. Well, house anchor technically as I put it in the brick wall. Hoping to save up and get a 8x6 shed put in before Christmas though in time for the worse of the weather
  4. Is it any good though? I've also heard good things about The Yard in Cotesbach (just a bit south of Lutterworth) which is just over the road from Idle Torque, some hipster bike gear place.. No idea! Their milkshakes looked nice though when I last went to a bike night there! Idle Torque is only 5 mins from me. Still not been, does seem like it’s quite a clique kind of place. Either have to have a custom Harley type bike or something retro
  5. I’d also like to know this, long itch diner does a fry up, not sure if that’s technically Warwickshire though! Think there are a few places in Melton too, seemed to be a few bikes parked up at various cafes when I rode through yesterday
  6. Update for anyone that might have this issue in future. Took the whole assembly out and used a spanner and Allen key to get the bolts out. Absolutely pain in the ass! Fitted both mirrors, they’re great until 40/50mph then they vibrate pretty bad, can still see cars in the mirrors but not the best, probably doesn’t help that there’s nothing in the handlebars now although I can’t tell any different personally. They look good though, might see if I can slide the inserts back in though so see if it helps with vibrations as it’s a pain to pull in the clutch to see behind clearly as the vibrations stop then!
  7. It actually still comes off, just big enough to go over the mirror
  8. Partly, I tightened them up as much as I can without damaging them but they still move if you push or pull them with my hand
  9. I assume you mean disc lock lol! And was only test fitting them luckily!
  10. The problem is that the bolt going through is full of red locktite. I’ve actually fitted the bar end mirrors now. As you do the Allen bolt up the rubber bit expands inside the bar and ‘secures’ itself. I’ve seen some other mirrors where a collar expands as you hit a screw in to it which I am trying to source but I shall fit the other mirror after work tomorrow and then go for a quick ride around on Saturday and see how secure they actually are
  11. So I ended up taking the whole assembly out of the bars to see if I could make any more progress. The new mirrors DO NOT fit (even though the Kawasaki techy guy assured me they would) the rubber expanding bushing bit in the photo attached is too small. On top of that I still can’t get the bar ends off so I’ve given up for now
  12. You are correct I was worried about pulling the whole assembly out of the handlebars in case something important was in there. But went and spoke to the Kawasaki dealer and they said I’ll just have to pull everything out
  13. I work around the corner from a Kawasaki dealer so tempted to have a wonder round and see if they’ll do it! Whoever decided using red locktite on the bikes needs a swift beating!
  14. Hey all, So I have bought some bar end mirrors, thinking it’s a simple switch (which it is for anyone that doesn’t have a Z650). Now Kawasaki have used red locktite on the bar end bolts so it’s near on impossible to get them off without heat guns and impact guns which I don’t have. Now the problem I have is that the whole bar end spins when I try to undo the bolts and if I pull hard enough the whole assembly comes out the handlebars. I’ve read a couple bits online where people have just pulled the bar ends and weights out and then just took them apart outside of the handlebars, some have got the weights to go back in, some haven’t. Has anyone here removed there bar end weights before and just left them out? I’m worried about just pulling the whole thing out only for me to not be able to get the new bar end mirrors to fit in and be stuck!
  15. Still warm enough! Went out today still wearing my summer gloves, surprised how warm I was even just wearing a t shirt under my jacket

    Got it ..

Looking good! How’s it like to ride
  17. Not on any Kwak I've ever owned. Mine definitely are, my mates were on his Z900 too
  18. Just bought a set off Amazon. £11.99. Came today and feel surprisingly well made for the price! Hopefully get them fitted soon, once I’ve found a way to get the original bolts out as Kawasaki add locktite to them out the factory
  19. It was very wet today. Somehow even after standing in the rain and getting soaking from 9am until 12:15 without a single bike getting on track it was still a brilliant day

    Oops

Buy it. I wanted the 750 for my first bike but insurance was too much. Think I might have to check again next year when I get a years no claims
  21. Tend to go there whenever me and my mate decide to go out on the bikes last minute, it’s a nice place! Food is very expensive though! Usually guaranteed some nice motors there!
  22. Be interesting to hear how everyone gets on with it. Wouldn’t mind one for review myself I too do not have a garage so my bike is living outside until I can get a shed put in the garden which may or may not be before winter sets in. Oxford cover is already becoming less waterproof by the day
  23. There was a post going round on Facebook a day or two ago with a load of pictures from someone going there. Bikes all crammed in together with bar ends pushed against fairings on the bikes next to it, number plates cracked in half. I’d avoid it after looking at those pictures alone!
