right so on Wednesday I tried the new(to me) jacket I had a ride to Kirby Lonsdale which the round trip is just over 88 miles, the day was overall a bit on the cool side so I set off and the jacket was certainly warm enough(which is more than I could say for my knees I will wear my textile pants next time) with the quilted lining helping that's german quality for you, and its the best bike leather jacket I have owned in a long time and really pleased with it and hope to be having a lot more ride outs with it this summer plus before I wore it for the first time I coated it with renapur leather balsam and that stuff seems to work it makes the leather a lot more supple

I just forget what the programme on the box is called now but its a regular one about an American family who own a bike building company and the only time they wear leathers is in winter otherwise they wear t shirts shorts no gloves and just work boots, and over here its hammered into us to wear the proper gear as gravel rash hurts

there are a lot of bikes gather at the bridge at weekends and people have canoes on the river and sometimes some scuba diving, worth stopping for a brew and a look at all the bikes if nothing else

this afternoon I decided to have a ride on the serow over to Kirby Lonsdale (devils bridge) and even though it was sunny it was still a bit cool and perhaps I should have worn my textile pants instead of the Kevlar jeans anyway when I arrived there was more bikes than I expected, so I sat on the wall and had a bacon and egg roll and a coffee and noticed that there was nobody jumping off the bridge into the river that will probably change when the weather warms up a bit
