I have had nothing but bad experiences with A*s I bought the SMX5 and after only wearing them a handful of times the screws that held the supports to the ankle decided to undo themselves so I exchanged the for the SMX6 plus and again within only a handful of times of wearing the Velcro tab on the right boot kept letting go which allowed to zip to undo itself. Every time I got to where I was going and got off the bike the boot would be completely unzipped completely compromising the safety of the boot. I then exchanged these for a pair of TCX gortex sport touring boot (can't remember the exact model) and these are fantastic (apart from the squeaking when walking) comfier than the A*s by a mile. I've had these a year now and they are still spot on Edit: big up to SportsBikeShop for both exchanges no questions asked.

What Guatrek is saying is that most people of a certain age, including me, think these wings are a new thing, I'm amazed to see them on bikes going back 40 years! They obviously got rid of them for whatever reason, so I can't understand why they've brought them back. I think they are dangerous. Have you seen how close they are to riders when leant over?

I was thinking along those lines. Speak to your Dad and ask him if he can knock £50 a month off the rent and you will do the gardening. You'll kill two birds with one stone - piss the neighbour right off by getting him the sack and having an extra £50 in your back pocket and saving your Dad a bit too. You can then just give that knowing grin to the neighbour every time you see him.

The first time I went with the missus was about 9 years ago and I took the M way. The second time followed a mate last year and it was just straight road, roundabout, straight road, roundabout rinse and repeat.

I thought exactly the same. A GP bike versus a GP car would have been a much better comparison rather than a dollied up street bike. For me it was a bit of an unfair and unrealistic comparison. Good fun though non the less. The comparison was the first thing I though too. I think a MotoGP bike that is also at the pinnacle of the sport would have won 3 of those 4 challenges. Still, it was an entertaining programme and both Coultard & Martin made me laugh at their banter.

I'll second that. I've just had my seat done by Tony Archer at Xmas time. He does a postal service. Just post it to him, he'll do the work you have spoken about on the phone, ring you (or email, can't remember which) when he's done. You call him and pay, he then posts it back you. Quality work!
