And then toppled over..... For no reason..... Doing ZERO miles an hour!
Once you face stopped and you need to manoeuvre the bike about, put the side stand down, get off and walk the bike. This saves any unnecessary drops from trying to paddle the bike about.
If you have use of the car then I agree about using it for short trips over the bike.
Welcome in.

That’s a silly question to put to a group of people that own motorbikes!
What are you waiting for? Go for it and good luck.

Not all bikes have them. I’ve had bikes that haven’t. I think newer ones have started coming with them as standard.
Found this after asking Google the question
Indicators are not a requirement on a motorcycle, but if they are present they will be tested and if faulty, will fail (bulb blown for instance). The same applies for Hazard Warning Lights, if there is no switch then they cannot be tested; and as they are not required, there is no failure for them not being present.

You guys are braver than I'll ever be, I don't think I ever want to ride in the rain but it sounds like some of you have no choice. I get cold just looking at the rain!
I never went out in the rain and always watched the weather, but if was caught in it then hey ho.
Riding in the rain gives you more experience and makes you a better rider. You need to be smoother with all the controls.

The only 100% waterproof breathable gear has Laminated Gortex
I have owned a Rukka suit since 2015. It hasn’t let me down yet. Two years ago I was travelling home from Grantham after bike service in May. It pissed it down that day and I even got caught in a heavy hail storm.
At one point as I went down a big dip in the road I met a wagon coming the other way at the bottom. I had a tidal wave wash over me and I felt absolutely wet through! That cold water was a big shock! Then I wasn’t sure if I was wet…mostly around my arse…
I arrived home about 30 mins later and took my gear off to see where I was wet.
I was bone dry. It must have just been the shock from cold water that made me initially feel I was wet through.
I can’t recommend Gortex gear highly enough.
There is gear out there that doesn’t cost a fortune nowadays. Probably as much as a leather suit.

Have you changed the font colour? I’m having a hard time reading your posts. The font is a very light grey for me.

I never take any notice of fuel consumption as the bike is a toy. I’ve owned it 7 years and have just checked and it’s showing just under 46mpg.
My wife hasn’t been on the back for 4 years due to health issues so since then it’s been spirited riding.
Here is the MCN reviews of all iterations of the Versys 1000.
interestingly the MK2 gets the highest score out of the 3https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/kawasaki/versys-1000/

@fullscreenaging it is one of the options (taking into consideration that its one of the tallest bikes out there). The only concern i have is the supplier (for maintenance) and every 2nd owner is saying that Kawa could have done a better final finish on the bike. Do you have any info about this model in general? Some xp?
I’ve owned a 2017 MK2 GT from new.
It’s never missed a beat and has been the best bike I’ve owned*. Currently on 20300 ish miles. The engine torque is lovely and you get good 6th gear pull if you don’t want to change down. Even better if you do!
I’m 5’ 7” with a 29” inseam and have never had any issues with the height. I never paddle the bike around, always get off and walk. I always use the foot peg to mount/dismount.I changed the screen a few times until I found one that fitted me. I ended up with a GIVI Airflow.
There is nothing wrong with the finish in my opinion. Although I think nowadays no bike has the same finish as they used to have…I changed the seat to a Kawasaki comfort seat after a year which made a difference for me. I have always had issues with any bike seat. Must be my backside!
The OE suspension is on the plush side and works OK even two up until you start to really push on and the roads are not in the best condition. I changed the front for Hyperpro progressive springs and the rear shock with remote pre load after 4 years. It made a big difference to the bike but I like to get a move on.
I changed the end pipe only for weight saving and a bit of aesthetics.
The only thing that I did dislike about the bike was where Kawasaki had moved the sat nav bracket to for this year of bike.
They moved it to the handlebars, which in my opinion was dangerous, as you have to take your eyes off the road and move your head to view. I took it off and got an above the clock bracket from SW Moto.
Some say the OE pannier capacity is a little on the small side, but again I’ve had no issues. We’ve managed to get everything we needed in the Top Box & Panniers, a small 5L tank bag and a rucksack on my wife’s back.

That’ll do the job.
One thing to look out for is battery life. This will obviously dictate how much of your excursion you can record.
If you can get o E with a spare battery or two you’ll be laughing. -

Everything is fine Geoff, thanks for asking. I've just not been enjoying it for the last few seasons.
Roads are too busy, roads are full of bad drivers, not enjoying being red hot in the summer (when it's the best time to ride), etc.
I'll be putting my Rukka clothing up on here when I've taken photos. Also Gortex boots, Rukka gloves etc.

Full system for sale.
I've taped over all the 3M pads so they should be good to go after being reheated. See pics
I've lost the little felt boom for the mic, but I had it inside under the seat as you will hear in the clip.
I only used it in case I needed a witness, not for action videos etc. As you can see the quality is not as good as the Go Pro's
Supports up to 256GB micro SD card. (Not included)I did my best to get it all back in the box (which was a bit of bitch!)
I'm giving up biking so that's the only reason I'm selling. They are going for £299.95. Can't remember if I payed the same as that or a bit more..
£200 plus £8.95 Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Payment by Bank Transfer please.Website https://www.innovv.com/innovv-k3-dashcam
All in perfect working order. Here is a little clip of my last ride. The software I used for pic in pic is VSDC Video Editor.

SOLD - Rukka Armaxion Suit
in For Sale and Wanted - Motorbike related
Posted · Edited by fullscreenaging
I've given up riding and sold the bike so I have lots of gear to sell.
Here is my Rukka Armaxion suit in a Medium which a Rukka 50. (Size guides online)
I was a fair weather rider, but did get rained on from time to time.
The Jacket was bought in 2015 but is in very good condition. Some of the reflective microdots have disappeared over the years from washing and wear & tear and the back reflective logo if flaking a little. On the inside of the jacket at the top of the zip the material is flaking off a bit also.
The front main zip is a little stiff when first doing up, so you need to be gentle with it at first. Takes a little getting use to, but you soon get the knack.
I've taken loads of pics to show all the velcro, zips and pullers are all in excellent condition as well as the wear & tear. The Jacket has not let in 1 drop of rain over the time I've owned it and is still 100% waterproof. I would expect nothing less from Rukka.
The pants are only 2 seasons old. The reason being is that I have short legs (29" inseam) so had the short leg pants for a while. I found I was having issues with the pants riding up when ridingmy bikes. So I bought anew pair of long leg pants andsold the short ones. These are in immaculate condition stillas you will see from the pics. Again I have taken lots to show all zips, velcro etc are in perfect condition.
Both Jacket and pants have removable thermal linings. These are both in excellent condition as I only used them a couple of times and have been stored away.
The suit can be yours for £400. Collection is Grimsby or I can post using RM Special delivery which has insurance up to £750 for extra £15.
Brand new the suit was £1200.
Cash on collection or by bank transfer if you want it delivered please.
