  1. I've just picked up a pair of PR2s from into bikes for £155 with £4.99 delivery. Both made this year and fantastic tyres.
  2. See you there if it ain't raining
  3. I finish work at 5 and can be the there for 6ish if you want a fresh pair of eyes?
  4. Sounds like you are either looking down to the left or looking left. Look well ahead before pulling away
  5. Great news!! I'm really pleased you are making progress. If you feel you want to get the instructor/school something then do just that. It doesn't matter if you are the only person ever to do it, I'm sure the recipient/s will be chuffed. It confirms to them they are doing a good job and it is appreciated.
  6. My missus used to come on the back of my CBR6F a lot. Now I have the RR I can't get her on it. I got a grab rail for her but she said she doesn't feel safe. I think yours is a similar seating position.
  7. I've been quoted £67 by MCE. I rang them the other day as I read on the net that they were doing free track day ins on all fully comp policies. They are, but only started doing it in June. 3 months after I took the policy grrrr. I don't know the ins and outs yet, but am thinking about it. It all depends on the excess etc.
  8. 4 looooong days lol
  9. I've got myself into the group this afternoon. I won't get any discount as I paid the £89 quid. Looks like they've inflated the prices to cover the discount they are giving. Crafty Barstewards!
  10. Makes sense. I did open the bleed nipple and let a bit of fluid out. Obviously not enough. I think this will be my next job tomorrow. Thanks
  11. No left the top on
  12. I've just put my be pads in tonight and had a bit of trouble pushing the pistons in on the left calliper. Right calliper of pins and pads out. A good squirt of brake cleaner, soft bristle toothbrush scrubbed over pistons then pushed in. New pads and pins back in and calliper back no probs. Left calliper off pins and pads out, spray of cleaner. Push one piston in then push it's twin in and the first one pops back out. I don't gave a proper tool for pushing the pistons back in, but the right calliper had no issues. Anyway I got a bit of wood and pushed one pair in. Pushed the opposite pair in and the first pair came back out. Took me ages to get them out enough so I had enough room to get the new pads over the disk. Can someone in the know tell me the cause of this? Do I have dodgy seals on that side or something else? Thanks in advance
  13. Have a poker night tonight. Do one monthly and as it's summer I thought I'd have it outside tonight. I let the lads know last week I'd get the gazebo out and we'd have a bit of a BBQ to boot......yes, I said the words and now look at the weather!
  14. You're bringing a garage just for me?
  15. I must be missing a few posts on tapatalk on my pad as I have just gone through the thread again and can't see anywhere that you and ohjay are going. I only thought Mr Fro and me where going. Very strange. Well it looks like it will be a good craic
  16. From the photo I've looked at it is indeed the lipstick kind. Maybe I could slip it into my missus handbag ........
  17. Thanks for that. I did a bit more research and Halfords have some in. Will be popping in tomorrow and see if I can get it on my trade card
  18. Bang goes that idea too lol I'll meet you there Mr Fro and we'll wing it.
  19. Too late then really as I've already paid. Could be worth a phone call if we get the 5 to see if they can give us a garage to use. Giving everyone's names would confirm that we are a group and maybe even if we don't get the 10% discount for booking we may get the garage and group discount for any further stuff like tuition
  20. Cheers Stu. EBC HH ordered
  21. I am looking at new pads for my upcoming novice track day so have been out and inspected my currents ones just to make sure I do need new ones. There is about 2mm of meat left to the end of the marker. Will this be enough to see me through the day? Also I'm looking for a non permanent thread locking compound for the caliper mounting bolts but can't find anything after looking in the usual places, Halfords, eBay, Amazon. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Ta
  22. I tried putting a discount code in that I received from Sportsbikeshop but it wouldn't go in. Reckon £89 is bottom line. Still, I'm happy with that price.
  23. They would be quite welcome to a couple I thought you'd done a few track days Mr Fro? Are you still eligible for the Novice days? If you do manage to get a group just PM me if you need my details. Always nice to get a discount.
