  1. A 20 min test clip. Started it at Willingham Woods and filmed most of the trip home. A little bit out of focus, so have adjusted the settings on the SD card and will see if that works otherwise I'll need to get a screwdriver small enough to get at the tiny screws I've turned the sound off and put a couple of tracks over the top as like people have said, the wind noise is horrible. I have stuffed a tiny amount of cotton wool inside the mic hole with a pair of tweezers and put a piece of insulation tape over. I also turned the sound setting to min on the card. Will see if this has any effect next chance I get. If anyone is interested here is the link to watch on Dropbox as I doubt I could get all this on YouTube. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ftcbjauw424wg ... 20Home.mp4
  2. Cheers Stu. I'm leaving in about 20/30 mins..... If no one is bothered the. I won't be going to the woods, I'll go straight there.
  3. That's the beauty of copilot - the map is pre downloaded to your phone and it only uses the GPS signal so it doesn't need to use any data like some other apps. Handy if you're roaming! You shouldn't be roaming with a Sat Nav.......
  4. I'm in Germany from 3rd to 9th so I won't be able to make it lol
  5. Sorry Stu lol. I don't work weekends.
  6. Mine came today but the SD card is yet to turn up. Popped to Tesco and got a 16G for the time being. I got it set up for 3 min loop and sorted the date/time. I've spent the last 4 hours trying to get it mounted to the bike securely. Although the brackets etc seem pretty good for the price, none of them seem to suit my bike except one. I've stripped the Velcro straps off that particular one and stuck the 3M square to the side of the bike. The bracket was a bit loose so it stuck a bit of foam strip that I had left over from the grab rail to take up the gap that was at the top. It now feels pretty secure. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/01/ryhygesy.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/01/ry2ary3e.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/01/ezy6e3eg.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/01/ta9a8y2a.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/01/zaza6uzu.jpg I wanted to get it on my mirror arm, the arm is too thin. I tried making it wider with amalgamating tape wrapped round the arm, but the bracket still wasn't fully secure and wobbled about with the slightest touch. I'll need to think of another work around for that. I've not had a chance to get out on the road to test it, but should be able to tomorrow. I found 1080 gave me the best quality. 720 playback through windows media was shocking!
  7. The weather looks pretty good tomorrow. Anyone fancy a meet a Willy Woods and then a scoot down to Skeggy (actually Ingoldmels) I know a nice pub there that does good pub grub
  8. I have been reading this thread with interest and this morning I thought to myself........sod it, after viewing all the clips and reading about everyone's experiences I'll get myself a GoPro........... Only kidding! I would never pay that much for an action cam. For the money it looks a cracking little action cam. I'm just trying to work out where I am going to mount it. One question I do have though......if I mount it to my lid, will the 3M stuff mark and ruin it?
  9. Bargain I've got the boots in red trim. Very very comfy. Only downside, the right boot squeaks like mad when walking! (Reminds me of the Sidi squeak) I have the RPHA 10+. A tip for you - take the visor off and adjust the holding mechanism to pull the visor tighter. All the reviews I read said the lid was very quiet, but mine was hurting my right ear. I finally worked out the air was getting in from that side so adjusted and boy, it's spot on now!
  10. Nice bike!
  11. Looks sweet!
  12. This is not true. I've had ultra seal in my tyres in the past and an old boy in a nearby village used to change my tyres for me. Nothing has ever exploded out of the tyres. Remember all the air is let out before the seal is broken. All that happens is that the slime pools at lowest place. Paper towels mop it up pretty easily from inside.
  13. Like Stu said a bad connection or the speed sensor is on its way out. I had this on my old '02 CBR600F. I think it was about £135 for new one fitted, but that was about 5/6 years ago
  14. Yesterday I was in the car going to pick a mate up. Car pulled out on me from a road on my right and I would have had to brake had it not been for the two lanes on the approach to the traffic lights up ahead so I used the right hand lane to overtake him and moved back into the left lane while maintaining my speed of 30mph. I then get him flashing his lights at me and giving me the w**ker sign. WTF! I flicked him the finger and carried on watching him rant rave in my mirror lol
  15. I went into Halfords yesterday (spur of the moment) as I was going past on the bike. Bought a set of screw extractors. I told the young lad that I didn't have my trade card on me for the reason above and he took me over to the till had word with his colleague and I got 20% trade card discount. All credit to The two guys at Halfords. Result!
  16. Thanks for all the comments guys. Gives me something to think about as regards which way will suit my needs
  17. I'm thinking of a ride to down today. Anyone already going or fancy it?
  18. My head just blew a fuse! I might know someone that can give me a hand though. Cheers
  19. Today I fitted a car socket so I can one plug my USB port into it and can now charge my phone on the go I have a question though. This is wired straight to my battery and I have a little green light on my USB port. Will this drain the battery even when my phone is not plugged in? Thanks for that. However, I don't have a scooby how fit a switch and an in line fuse. I do have about 1.5 metres of 3 amp cable left.
  20. That's not good news mate. Sorry I can't help point you in the right direction. I live in the south, well it's south of you anyway
  21. Well done! That grin will never come off you know...
  22. Long story short.... When I first bought my CBR600RR5 2 months ago I looked at getting a grab rail for the missus, only to discover that I couldn't find one to fit my model. I contacted Renntec to ask why via email. "We were changing management at the time and that model was overlooked. We will not be making one for that model as we focus on the latest models" That's fair enough. "Can I modify the 03-04 rail to fit?" "No" Bollocks. Looked around and could only find the Ventura stuff, which 1. Looks shit 2. Is too bloody expensive. After much head scratching I decide to approach an engineers to see what they can do. After a bit of a discussion they recommend me getting the 03-04 rail after looking at some photos that I showed them and say they should be able to modify it. Ordered rail. Rail came today so I unpacked it and had a look myself. I only had to file the hole in the top brackets by 3-4mm and it fits like a glove!!! Not happy with Renntec, but very happy with the result http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/03/gyjezege.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/03/vu4yhata.jpg
  23. Don't know, but half the scores are missing!
