  1. Update: I took two weeks off work to get this done and have just finished today. I need another week off to recover and I'm back on Monday! I decide to lay a small patio in front of the shed and build a frame for the new shed to sit on (the new shed will be 10x8) and I levelled this off using the bricks that were available to me before starting. As you will see in the pics I then used new stones to fill in the gaps. Both side fences and new shed will be painted to match back fence and gate. The old shed is temp sat on the new frame (covered with tarp) until I have saved enough for the new shed. I also put in a wider gate (3.5 feet) so I can get the bike in/out easier. 2. wtf are all those drivers doing moving into the hard shoulder??? Obviously they don't know they should keep it clear for the emergency services to have quick access the site. Like I said, people amaze me.....for all the wrong reasons. I stopped being a driving instructor 2 and half years ago and it's amazing how quickly the standard of driving in this country has deteriorated in even that short space of time. The problem is, people pass their test and then say "f**k it, I've passed me test. I'll drive how I want" then throw all they've learnt out the window. The fact is, when you pass your test you have reached the minimum required standard. So then people go and drive how the f**k they like which means the vast majority of drivers in this country are actually below that minimum standard. The proof is in this thread with loads of different opinions on what you should/shouldn't do on a hard shoulder. People seem to fabricate their own rules in order to suit themselves or because one of their mates heard someone saying that this/that is how it should be done. Everyone has access to the highway code and there should be no excuse for not knowing the rules of the road, not variations made up by individuals. I believe the only way the Government will make the roads safer is to introduce a compulsory 5 year driving assessment to make sure all drivers stay up to scratch. The assessment will cover all aspects of driving from skill to attitude to other road users. If you fail then you will be required to undertake refresher lessons and re-take. I could go on, but ................ rant over
  3. I've got the 1 piece in red. Had it about 6 years cost me £800 (not used for 3, long story) and its a great bit of kit! Not very well known though. Love Joe Rocket stuff. Edit: I've actually got it on in my profile pic lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  4. How is there a risk to my life when I will be nowhere near the vehicle while waiting for recovery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  5. I'd rather not risk my life and call someone out to tow me off the motorway so I can change the tyre in a safe environment The hard shoulder is not there for minor repairs. Each to their own Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  6. You do know you're not supposed to change a puncture on the hard sholder of the motorway? Highway Code https://www.gov.uk/breakdowns-and-incid ... 275-to-278 These rules are there so people avoid exactly the incidents that occurred right next to you in a short space of time. Things could quite easily have been a lot worse. I can't believe people put their lives at risk just to save a bit of time.

  8. First thing you should be taking off is your gloves, then your lid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  9. Double D is the best fastener you can get. The one's in the link are shit. they are forever loosening themselves. The first lid I bought was a Shark S800 that came with the seat belt type fastener. I hated it as I had to tighten the bloody the thing every couple of days. IMO persevere with the DD. Why do you hate them anyway?
  10. You've picked very well Techno. I put a dummy team in on Monday... Anyway, I have chosen exactly the same team as you apart from one rider. This round will go to the wire I believe
  11. Yeah I'm a bit ooooh aaaah on which way to go after all the bad luck I had in that last game round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  12. I would just tape it. As for taking it to the bank. Only one way to find out, just make sure you get up early today EDIT: You could always ask at a PO. Imagine they would know what to do... EDIT 2: A quick Google..... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho ... 204&page=1
  13. I thought I might have slipped into second before looking.............. I nearly did!! Two bad weekends for me in this round.....

  15. I used these when I had my bike (and still use them if I'm struggling to get to sleep) http://alpineearplugs.com/ Bloody amazing! I got mine from Hein Gherick for about £20 and have had them 4 years. To clean them they get a good soak in a glass washing up liquid. Not tried them in the washing machine for fear of losing them The great thing about these is that you don't feel like you're in a goldfish bowl like the throw away ones
  16. I didn't even know you had Rossi until I made the change. lol I swapped Crutchlow out 'cos of his leg. Gonna tighten things up now that's for sure
  17. How hard are you gripping? When I first passed my test I had really bad pain in my wrists from gripping too tight and having my arms straight a lot. Relax your grip and bend your arms. Grip the bike with your legs and the pain will go away. Also try clutchless up shifting to lessen the amount of time you use the clutch
  18. Basically I'm looking at getting the back garden paved so I can get a shed ready for next year when hopefully I will be getting another bike. I've been given a quote which everyone I speak to think is pretty reasonable. However I'm a tight git and think it's too much. I'm really toying with doing this myself as I'm not too bad with my hands. Only problem is my back atm so I can get a couple of mates to help out. One is an ex chippie and the other is a young guy (I know he's good at brickwork as I've seen first hand the garden wall he built for my Dad, but don't know his full qualifications. It's my Dad's step Grandson) Anyway that's the backstory. I know I have to get the base compacted (going with sharp sand and concrete mix) so will need to hire the machine. What I'm not too sure about is how deep do I need to get down to in order to have a good base? I've done some research on the net and have come across 1.5 feet deep, but that seems a bit excessive. The area is 11' x 9' so that's a shit load of soil to get rid of if this is correct. Anyone have experience of this sort of thing that can point me in the right direction? EDIT: 11' x 19'
  19. All Info here. http://www.bt.com/sport/ There is already a BT Sport channel on SKY - 413 Won't be getting my money.
