1. I must look into getting something a bit more compact. My present set up gives me a stiff neck after a while .
2. XTreme Take that radar bucket off the back of your bike and you could take people on tours who don't have their own bikes.
3. That's a great looking bike dynax . It really looks a lot bigger than a 125.
4. XTreme Great pics Barsteward
5. My own personal preference would be to stick with the traditional round headlight. Trying to modernise a retro look bike seems to be a self defeating move. The rectangular light looks hideous IMHO.
6. I'm shocked that you even got your bike back.
7. How were they before you moved in ? Normal probably
8. My neighbours are brilliant, most of them are drugged up to the eyeballs with anti depressants and pain killers or receiving psychiatric help. The sound of my motorcycle is the least of their problems.
9. Considering the post is 10 years old, the bike has probably dissolved into rust and gone back to nature.
10. I had my Instagram account suspended for most of the day and has now been re-instated. Has anyone else (who has an account) experienced any problems?
11. Is that hand drill next to Bob the one you use for buffing up the chrome on your Harley?
12. That's a fairly gross breakfast! Not so different from a typical english breakfast of cold left over vindaloo from a night out you can't remember Cold left over curry from the night before for breakfast is just the best!
13. Swinton have a policy of trying to encourage their customers to aspire to better bikes. That's when they hammer you. Not quite sure I understand , I've got the most expensive bike I've ever owned and they have just rewarded me by knocking a big chunk off the insurance . So how are they going to hammer me ? Sorry fastbob , my post was a very poor attempt at trying to take the piss. Now't nasty intended.
14. How do you do it, Bob? Mine never goes down! I even took the IAM test and it went up even more! I don't actually know , it's slightly worrying . I think my broker , Swinton , said that they are obligated to find me the best available deal . My concern is that there may be alterations to the terms and conditions . I really can't be bothered to plough through the wad of paperwork that they sent . What's also a bit annoying is that I'm paying nearly as much for the ER5 now . Swinton have a policy of trying to encourage their customers to aspire to better bikes. That's when they hammer you.
15. It won't be long before all the Iron butt postings will come along
16. I think I just found your YouTube vid about polishing up old chrome... https://youtu.be/76-lQwTru3s
17. I've seen it on the VFR, it's normal.
18. Titter , that's a good demonstration of ABS. Aircraft have been using ABS before the vast majority of people (probably all) on this forum were born. It's old tried and trusted technology.
19. If this is going to be aimed at the masses a 338cc machine could be a bit ambitious for someone just letting go of their electric moped which the average has the power of a sewing machine. I've witnessed the appalling way that car drivers treat their own electric bike riders on the road. The fact that they are low powered allows them to live a little longer I reckon.
20. Six, I'm sending you my bank account and sort code along with the security and passwords that goes with it should you feel the need to offload some of the dosh. Having $15m dollars dumped on you like that could look a bit suspicious. Well done on your good fortune.

If you do decide to use the additive, make sure once you've mixed it in the tank, to run the engine for a few minutes to ensure it gets into the carbs / injectors.
22. Electrics in general has always appeared to me as being a black art. I know nothing about it but still find it fascinating to read about it by someone who does. Great posts @wtf .

I had to lay a bike up for over a year some time ago. I left it with about 2/3rds full of petrol and a good splodge of this https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/254309453138. When the bike was uncovered it started on the button and ran as good as before it was laid up. How much 'Sta-bil' contributed to this, I don't know, but I would use it again if I had to.
24. Have a great tour Gerontious and team. I'm looking forward to a few pics and stories on this one.
