  1. I use baby wipes then wipe over with a dry cloth
  2. This where they have by the short and curly's regarding the licensing, a 125cc bike is just that, you can restrict the power output, but you cannot physically reduce the engine size, and as the CBT and A1 restricts you on both the engine size and power output that is what we have to abide by
  3. My Xena is Chinese made, i bought her new nearly 4 months ago, it has been nearly a month since i last rode her, took her out today, and she started on the button, did all the pre ride checks, tyres, oil, water, lights etc, all 100% as they should be, in short Chinese bikes do get some bad press, but then there are some nice gems out there to be had
  4. To legally ride the minimum is full car or provisional licence with motorcycle entitlement plus CBT, the theory is only required when progressing further to a full motorcycle licence
  5. Fancy a bit of extreme surfing ">

  10. Have you changed the fuel filter if it has one, is a carb or efi model, if carb it cound have some crud in it, copied from MCN, Build Quality & Reliability 4 out of 5 Both mechanically and cosmetically, the Yamaha XV535 Virago is a highly regarded motorcycle and has the longevity of successful sales figures to prove it. Gripes are rare but include carb icing and corroding regulator/rectifiers but, on the whole, the Yamaha XV535 Virago is a solid motorcycle to buy. But keep that exposed V-twin and all that chrome in good nick to maintain value.

    Fell off

certainly looks like a fuel filter, but the arrow usually indicates direction of flow, this one seems to indicate the orientation of the filter itself, as above check for smell of fuel, good luck
  12. I was pootling about today, and i was quite happy sitting in the line along with some others, but plenty of others though were filtering, like anything else there is a time and a place
  13. He should have been happy with what he had, i would be over the moon if mine touched the floor when kneeling mind you i would be happy if it touched the floor when laying down
  14. I can't figure that one out either, but then again i have never seen a dog with a sore arse
  15. When I was a kid I was always told - when you grow up then you can do whatever you want. They lied, those bast*rds! I used to get told off for playing in the mud as a kid, when i started work i got paid for doing it

  20. Bike thief is killed after stealing bike, result https://bikersunited.co.uk/bike-thief-dies-riding-stolen-motorcycle/?fbclid=IwAR0_ZqJlx9nf9buAl94oFa_RRbIe6JcgqWTfPDbwEkAFmw5dT0k_fKMcNZE
  21. The lights are out of sequence, there's a traffic light controlled roundabout near me, and the lights are out of sequence, where approaching traffic will go green, amber, red, when it turns to amber, the waiting traffic lights change at the same time, and the waiting traffic can be on green, while the stopping traffic is still on amber
  22. Tell a waiter to accidentally on purpose, tip a glass of something in his lap, coz the sooner he goes home the better
  23. Grab him by the throat, slap him around the face a few times, tell him to stop talking bollox, tell him that the evening should be about him, trying to make her feel the most important person on the planet, and if he doesn't listen, give her the number of the Samaritans, coz she will need it
  24. Getting clothing that fits properly, should be the priority, a £500 helmet that's too big, will not be as effective, as a £100 correctly fitted one, the same goes for your jacket, jeans, gloves, boots, and any other clothing or accessories you get
  25. Firstly apologies to anyone who, might have been waiting, secondly, not quite a disaster, could have been worse, the ride into Rotheram was fine, got into sheffield centre, no problem, then the bloody roadworks, sat nav was freaking out, and tried sending me onto the motorway, went to meadowhall 3 times via 3 different routes, plenty of cars trying to kill me, then got to the point of having had enough, and pulled over, reset the sat nav to take me home, still not happy and tried sending me to the motorway, saw a distant sign for Barnsley, started in that direction, a few miles down the road, see another sign for Rotheram, heads in that direction, eventually get to an industrial area, but the road was like something you would see on an oscilloscope, at which point one of my panniers jumped off it's bracket, and got wedged under the back wheel but still fixed to the bottom part of the bracket, got that back together, but was a bit wary from then on, trying to avoid any big bumps, then something started rattling, haven't found that yet, then coming back into Doncaster, more people trying to kill me, my first major ride out, was certainly an experience, and not altogether bad, but i think i will try and avoid long midweek rides, i should probably save these runs for Sunday afternoons
