  1. some amazing photos of the weekend here. http://londonbikers.com/galleries/1422/motogp-british-gp-2008-friday complete artists, Some of these you could almost print out and hang on a wall.
  2. Yeah I think Scott has got the other two lads beat psychologically. They have had a season or in Brads case two seasons learning all the tracks and Scott turns up and blitz's the field and takes his first win in only 8 races. I hope Bradley and Danny don't fold under the pressure but thrive on it as it would be good to have 3 Brits in MotoGP one day. There must be some top teams with Scott high on their wanted list for 2009 already, I reckon Aspar will be trying to pull him in. Hopefully the Blu:sens boys will get a full spec Aprilia 2009 in '09
  3. oh definately Toseland is better than Foggy. Foggy may have won four titles which is an achievement no doubt, but I don't think anyone would disagree that the competition these days is a lot more fierce. As you mentioned Toseland learns and improves. He's already impressed me with what he has achieved, It's an incredibly hard class. The 800cc era still needs a few more years so it gets back to 2006 so you can win on a satelitte bike. At the moment unless your on a Factory Ducati, Factory Honda, or Factory Yamaha then your not going to win.
  4. More importantly though, I had purchased JT in my fantasy team, So what happened JT That ZXRR is getting further and further away from me. only joking hopefully he'll give them hell in Assen
  5. according to the MotoGP site he is disappointed with Second??? http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Toseland+thanks+fans+after+one+of+his+biggest+career+disappointments Poor lad, he'll be back. everyone has set backs, it's all about how you come back from those set backs. Go JT
  6. great pics DG, you must of had a fairly big lense to get some of those photos mate. Mine didn't come out too well and as I had a naff shutter speed I only attempted to photo the 125's
  7. what a legend, what could he do if he was on a 2008 Aprilia, surely in 2009 his team will be supplied a top of the range bike.
  8. It seems like JT is being used like a performing clown at times at the moment, every race weekend he seems to be stuck on a podium and is asked to play the piano. No doubt he's one hell of a piano player and he's multi talented, but I think they need to let him unwind. Toseland had the weight of the world on his shoulders this weekend. BBC, Eurosport, Radio and everyone has been saying that he will deliver. Everyone will crumble if enough pressure is applied and I think JT just had a bad weekend, nothing to worry about I'm sure in Assen next week where the pressure is off, he'll be back to his best. But Scott Redding... What a boy... get him a 2008 Aprilia we have a champion on our hands
  9. what a great atmosphere and that was just the Friday, looks like the weathers been a bit naff today with all the rain, I can highly recommend going to the Friday session to anyone next year, it was cheaper, you get to see loads of the action and you can move around. I was too busy taking in all the action that I forgot to get me camera out and only got a few shots in the 125cc and red bull rookies section. my little digital camera didn't have enough zoom on it. But a fantastic day. you should be able to see a selection of photos here. <"http://cid-b3ec9bab3926280c.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!B3EC9BAB3926280C!118/">
  10. yeah but I don't think they are taking me where I want to go really. I thought the straight jacket was a bit uncalled for
  11. Just had a read of this weeks MCN and sure enough there is a section about possible team changes for next season. Had a quick read and it seems pretty much like what we had mentioned here. http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=11331 We're 20 days ahead of the news Shouldn't someone be talent scouting us?
  12. I think thats what worries me about the story, knowing what Foggy has said in the past, the story does actually sound like something he might have said. Foggy was a good rider, but WSB is a lot stronger in my personal opinion now with a lot of talent in depth. Not sure Foggy would pick up four titles quite so easily now. Everyone knew Sheene. Who do you think the best british riders were/are? Hailwood, Surtees, Sheene, Fogerty, Toseland, Hodgson?
  13. First off as others have said it's in the Sun, so probably not true. At least I hope it's not true, Foggy has been outspoken in other media before, even MCN. Toseland is doing a great job on a satelitte bike. Hopefully he can go one better at Donny and get a podium but asking a win is a bit much. If those comments are true then Foggy is being a bit bitter that someone is doing well in MotoGP.
  14. Well what a race, Pedrosa showed some incredible pace today, he really was on it and showed the world again what a great rider he is. Some talk of whether or not that was a pneumatic valve engine, I don't think so I think his lack of pace at the end was the engine leaning off a bit like in China, like in Le Man, like in Mugello. He just went off the start. Stoner got past Dovi and then had no pace and if anything held the others up a touch. Well impressed with Dovi, I reckon this ride today while factory rider Hayden slumped to 8th means that HRC will be writing up a 2009 Factory ride contract for the young Italian. Which I think is great Dovi vs Pedrosa vs Lorenzo vs Rossi, it should be epic. Only other comment really is about poor Bautista, seems to be struggling. I think the pressure is getting to him, everyone is expecting him to win the 250cc title and move up to motogp, but once again he thought too much and cost himself 5 points. 45 points is still a lot to make up but maybe he can still do it.
  15. Legends each and every one of them. I love watching the metre they have when it gets in the 60 degree and someone once got close to 70. You have to remember that 90 means the bike is laid on the fairing As they used to say in Waynes World...... WE'RE NOT WORTHY.... WE'RE NOT WORTHY
  16. Yeah I had just bought him for my fantasy team and then he goes and gets a concussion Someone doesn't want me to win a ZX10
  17. He's right you know. Damn shame, I was expecting a real good one after Pedrosa, Rossi and Lorenzo being the top three in first practise http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Lorenzo+OUT+of+Catalunya+race+after+practice+crash
  18. It's like an special eclipse it only happens once every 10 years. Nicky's a nice enough lad, so I can't be-grudge him winning, but I think when he looks back he'll even think he was lucky to win. But you've gotta be in it to win it. Dani will probably become champion at some point, although in one sense I do kind of agree with Techno if he doesn't do it this year then next year Dovi will probably be on a Factory Honda, Lorenzo will have a years experience, there is a chance Pedrosa could retire like Gibernau, great rider and race winner but never made it to the biggest dance. harrycpr, do you like Rossi? If so take a step backwards and look at Rossi in 2000 - 2001. It's Lorenzo pretty much. Some people may think he has a big ego, but most successful sports stars do. If not they normally finish second.
  19. gonna have to start calling Lorenzo "sick note" he's spent more time in the track hospital than he has on the bike, poor lad. Gotta say he's one tough bloke though he'll be back. Super George will be back. Super George
  20. I suppose they can get away with that with Fiat being Italian, Rossi being Italian and Euro 2008. I suppose Jorge hasn't got one because Fiat don't want their name on a Spanish bike. The bike looks cool but those leathers are terrible. Minichamps are probably rubbing their hands and putting a huge price tag on this new bike as we speak. BTW why does it take Minichamps so long to build all those bikes? Is it one man in a shed building them?
  21. I don't know, I see your point about supersport riders not getting a chance, but at the same time, I think if they are good enough they will win a seat. looks like most teams are expanding anyway. Hannspree Ten Kate is 3 at the moment but talking about being a 4 man team next year. Alstare Suzuki has now become a 3 man team. Ducati Xerox and Team Italia Yamaha could add an extra bike each and then with the new Aprilia, BMW and KTM teams there will be loads of spare seats. Bring it on I say, get Capirossi in WSB and maybe Debon and Talmasci,
  22. I know Edwards is talking to Tech3 and Kawasaki about extending his MotoGP stay another year. But Edwards has said that when he's done with MotoGP he's gonna go back to the states and do AMA I would personally rather see Edwards move to WSB than AMA. He's still got the desire and he could ride on and probably win another WSB title
  23. Bring on Catalunya this weekend. Round 2 http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Barbera+Simoncelli+could+have+killed+me
  24. Evs7

    Pedrosa

I suppose we could be getting it all wrong and he's just a bit shy, he has made the odd comment which has been a headline. Generally having a go at Nicky. I think the biggest problem is he just doesn't seem like he's ever that happy and lets think about it this guys get paid and paid well to ride/race motorbikes, which as Kevin Schwarz once said "thats gotta be the greatest job in the world."
  25. Evs7

    Pedrosa

extremely talented, very fast, also seems very quiet and moody. Now Lorenzo all of the above and a personality like a new years firework display.
