  1. Let them give you a lappy , put it in a rucksack and it is a very expensive back protector ! If you don't like the thing just keep phoning I.T and say it wont power up (Don't bother to plug it in !) Cheers Ian
  2. Sods law six; the IOM is still an event I haven't been to yet. Do you get a refund or is it a complete loss ? only thing we have paid in full is flights, and just £50 deposit on accommodation , see what happens Best of luck #Six30 !
  3. I don't believe it ! I finally have a mate who has bought a property on the island and I am up for helping him with the work to be done in return for free accomodation and this happens ! Goes away to sulk !!! Cheers Ian
  4. Hope not Adrian is a mate but he is as tight as a gnats chuff lol. Cheers Ian
  5. Hi Guys Does anyone know where I can get a free download of the workshop manual for a KTM 690 Enduro? I don't want to buy one when I am only doing one job on someone else`s bike. Cheers Ian
  6. For what its worth with novice or less experienced passengers regardless of weight I tell them imagine a straight line marking the position of my spine and try to maintain the same position, then once you are relaxed feel free to look over my shoulder and see into the bends. Has worked for me for years including recently taking a petrified (and prejudiced) novice and making them an enthusiastic person looking forward to trips out in the coming year. Cheers Ian
  7. 1979 I had a Suzuki AP50 (TGT 339R ) Then took test on GT185 (XGP 228S) that was 79 then straight on to a Z650 B1 and the rest is history lol. Cheers Ian
  8. Well said ! Cheers Ian
  9. I keep looking at a lift table, I'm getting too old to be crawling about on the floor. But they aren't cheap! Agreed your knees cant carry on for ever ! I got mine from BSD in Peterborough when they upgraded. I am fairly sure the lad that was there when I turned up to collect didn't know which one I had bought but not my problem lol. Probably best £120 I have spent on Ebay lol. Cheers Ian P.S Just won Constands version of a skylift for less than £50 so quitting Ebay for a while as my luck will run out sooner or later.
  10. Took Rexy out for a trundle as it was dry ! Found loads of puddles so up on the bench when we got back to clean all her important little places. Also gave me the opportunity to put the road Busa on the mover stand and see how far I could tuck her out of the way ! She is a fat girl so I was interested in how much space the new stand would let me achieve.
  11. It is with great regret I will own up to selling 3 Ducati bevel drives over the years ! Ironically they would be worth a small fortune now but I was happy with £2500 for the last one (Black and gold V reg) Cheer Ian
  12. I have a funny feeling you are probably being truthful! I seem to have a similar effect and I live in a village that came in the top 5 in the Daily Telegraph1s best villages to live in. Now I now why I have to go out of the village to chat with friends lol. Cheers Ian
  13. I did ask the dry cleaners that sort my suits and shirts out Ooh someone`s posh! Cheers Ian
  14. Yes they are standard cans ! The only reason is that some of the places we run are very noise sensitive. From memory Elvington is about 102db . My rationale was that it was easier to tune the ecu and extract good figures from the force fed engine than quieten a more free running pipe. The work is done on the inlet side in forced induction. But every day is a learning day and I was happy with 282bhp lol. Cheers Ian
  15. Would this be your kind of thing? Cheers Ian
  16. I perfectly understand your position and for myself I would be prepared to take the risk but be paying for materials plus a bit of beer money on top and hopefully it would be mutually beneficial ! Let me know what you think and we might be able to sort something. Do you have any preferred subjects? Cheers Ian
  17. Lol You are probably right ! Cheers Ian
  18. You wanting your race busa doing? Haha I hadnt thoughtof that ! Might be nice to get something done on the back of my lid. I will have to message the op sometime. Cheers Ian

  25. Hi Mate It is worth checking the front sprocket nut as these are often secured with a washer that bends over and the shaft is splined. Just thinking that if the nut did spin loose it could be a disaster. Hopefully I am wrong ! Cheers Ian
