  1. A very good and clearly explained method! Should help a lot of people that. Cheers Ian
  2. Stubborn banjo bolts are a pig. If you are changing seals anyway it might be a gentle oven treatment if swimbo is looking the other way. Another dodge an old engineer guy told me was while holding the bolt under tension with a ring spanner, GENTLY !!!!! keep tapping with a pin hammer and with a fair bit of time and patience you will be amazed how stubborn immovable bolts or studs sometimes just give up and surrender. Good luck. Cheers Ian
  3. OOH ! Clean drawer liners ! Get you ! Cheers Ian
  4. Hi Mate If you don't have the piston removal plies you could try pumping them out and pushing them back a few times and they do seem to free up considerably. Cheers Ian
  5. Not sure how sad this is lol. Made some backing boards for my sockets hopefully easier to read when working and can take whole clip to the bench. Should cut down on losses ( bet it doesn't lol). Cheers Ian
  6. The old accepted suggestion was to accelerate to get weight transferred off the front but not met anyone with the presence of mind to do it as everyone seems to slow down instinctively. Seen a fair few and experienced one or two, not nice things. Once put a head stock bearing in a Z1000J slightly off level and at 110 steady as a rock 112 lock to lock slap ! Very disturbing. Cheers Ian
  7. Rotavirus ? Is that Latin for rotovator? I bet spellcheck is obsessed with virus and rota type words at the moment. Cheers Ian
