  1. Yes @Slowlycatchymonkey I'm a proud Portuguese The thing is, I couldn't care less what other people think of me and of my opinion. I'm a strong believer that my opinion is highly personal and is only relevant to me. Just because I say what I think doesn't mean it becomes a law. While some take offense when others have a different point of view I couldn't care less and accept differences as natural. Regarding correcting my spelling and or grammar. I have no problem with it and isn't the first time and for sure won't be the last. As I said, it helps me to improve my control of the language
  2. I would be impressed if you could speak Portuguese was as well I can speak English. Nevertheless, I don't take offense when people correct my sentences, the way I see it, is just a way to improve my skills

  5. I would be very wary about buying goods from Hong Kong at the moment (or since a few months ago) because of all the kerfuffle in the area. Unless you have paid with a direct debit card you can always raise a dispute with either PayPal or the credit card company. Once you have told them that they won't refund you, they will return your money and will go after them for it
  6. I did the fluid change on my ST1300 and the system is similar (maybe a bit more complicated on the ST. The nightmare is when you empty the system completely and then try to refill. you won't be able to remove the air without a vacuum pump. The process I use is to remove enough brake fluid (BF) from the reservoir without emptying it. Then I fill the reservoir with methylated alcohol (you can get it from toolstation) and pump the fluid until the alcohol starts running clean from the calipers. After this you repeat the process with new BF until it runs clean from the calipers. This way you will never have air in the system The alcohol cleans the system but doesn't damage the pipework and it will only be there for no more than 30 min.

If the bike was running and not charging the battery, you could be facing an alternator or controller problem. As above, test the battery, if you can get hold of a car battery try using it to start the bike and check if it is charging the battery. The only reason why a battery would go flat is if left plugged for a long period and parasite currents drains it down. A battery on a bike that is used frequently shouldn't go flat so that is a sign that your problem is not the battery.
  19. Important to remember the thread lock for the disk's bolts. If you're servicing the calipers is worth to replace the brake fluid.
  20. SSSHHHH don't tell him that would be nice having the poor thing sprouting stronger and start to give more pears Until your house insurance claim for structural issues is rejected because of it ... When you buy the policy you would have to tell them how many how big and the distance from the house trees are. So if you make a claim about a declared tree you will be covered.
  21. A. It produced very few pears. B. The few it produce were rock hard for weeks, then overnight went soft. C. It is right next to the house so the roots will be playing silly beggars with the drains and foundations. D. It was covering several windows. E. It was damaging the gutters. F. I was bored. Don't forget to poison it .... Unless your digging it out ..which you will wish you had left the trunk attached for levarage If not poisoned it will return ...in varied suckers along its root base . SSSHHHH don't tell him that would be nice having the poor thing sprouting stronger and start to give more pears
