  1. My family has been there for 25 years or more and I spend as much time as possible there. We live near the swing bridge, nice spot too!
  2. Is that a Minichamps one? I have a stack of Rossi replica bikes at home, but they're producing soo many now I got nowhere to put them all (even if couls afford them altogether!)
  3. There's always a magazine subscription I guess, if he has a favourite. Or maybe some associated Honda branded clobber (jackets are good, I bought my Mrs a SUZUKI one at the weekend to match mine - you never know, he might reciprocate one day)
  4. See? Another one in need of some Suzuki refurb
  5. You should go to the garage (suzuki dealers) and buy a nice, decent looking Suzuki logo to stick over that crappy Honda one! Either that, or for under £100 you can get some half decent luggage (tank bag, tail pack etc)
  6. How about a meet in Whitby at some point over that weekend peeps? OK, I won't have the bike with me, as we're all travelling up in the cage but it's a cracking long weekend! Any takers?
  7. I can't be THAT good, you never chucked yer knickers (and corsetry) at me! Or did I miss that bit?
  8. You gotta be jokin' (apart from the Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay-oooooooooooooooh song maybe lol)
  9. Cracking weekend all round - speshly the singing bit (I think I got a bit carried away at times ) Keefy was hilarious, I do remember that much!
  10. Well, it's memories of last year over at MFN! Arrived with Ian and Sue in tow in the middle of a bit of a shower, which developed into a nasty squall and gusting winds. The gazebo went up . . . . . the gazebo came down! Back home now trying to calm the kids down before I take Mrs S and the younguns to the airport at Sparrow's fart in the morning. See you all back there in't morning!
  11. Righto I'm knocking off work in 10 minutes and doing a few bits before setting off to meet Ian and Sue at McDognuts just north of Derby. See y'all later, wet or not!
  12. Not wishing to raise people's hopes about the weather, but . . . . . . It's stopped pishing it doon and the sun is trying to peep through right now! Oooh, ooooh, ooooh, I can see some blue stuff too! OK, so there's loads of grey crap about still, but at least it's making the effort for us
  13. If it's any consolation, it's wazzing it down here in Derby right now too!
  14. I'm OK in all kinds of wet!!!!!! In some, I'm brilliant!
  15. Anyone who was going to meet with Stevie (Korben), panic ye not! Do not start running round shouting "Oh Wailie, wailie" or somesuch thing. I will meet anyone needing guiding in on Friday afternoon, if you can divert to MacDonalds at Markeaton Island on the A38/A52 junction north of Derby!!! Sheepy
  16. Only the socks are decent! The rest of their kit sucks like a prostitute with a hare lip . . . . very badly!
  17. I'm still having those moments on my new bike to be honest. After 4 years on a Harley, getting on board a 1250 Bandit is a million miles from the tractor I used to ride and I sometimes forget myself on bends and find I'm going in a little "hot", so to speak!
  18. Outstanding! All you doubters out there . . . . see, it CAN BE DONE!!!
  19. Like Vicki alluded to earlier, the field itself is a nicely manicured lawn-type of affair and not prone to turning into something akin to the Somme on a bad day, so if anyone is worried about getting all Glastonbury-like, you can be assured that it's massively unlikely to happen. The big white tentlike structure was still up last week (I don't think they actually take it down) and there are tables and chairs aplenty situated underneath it. For those of you that haven't been there before, the giant "gazebo" (for want of a better description) is something like 20-30 feet square, so will provide ample cover should it be needed. Frankly, I couldn't care less what the weather throws at us. As we used to say in the Army, "it's character building stuff"! Looking forward to the weekend immensely, and well done to Mrs Organiser!!
  20. Having said that, I will burn a CD with yet more ROCK music on it (to add to Frankie's)
  21. I think I'd rather not know what goes on in your house Tenko! Hardcore, softcore or otherwise
