  1. Got that thanks Stu, but would be nice to pick the engine noise as well sometimes. l've heard the more expensive camera's systems and there sorted. Why not stick a bit of black tape over the opening? More layers = less wind noise. Any idea where the port is?
  2. Copied from another site but worth posting heads up! Thefts from tents at Biker events Posted on 12:06pm Monday 19th May 2014 In the past few weeks there has been a few reported thefts from tents on the Biker circuit. It appears that the perpetrators follow drunk people back to their tents, wait until they fall asleep, pretend to have an argument outside the victims tent, then one enters the tent and routes around to find cameras and wallets, while the other keeps watch. These unscrupulous thieves are mainly looking for top of the range phones and money, as others have found wallets the following day on the field with cards still inside. It seems they are watching people as they takes photos at the event with a 'fancy phone camera' and then target these people when they head off to their tents, await for them to 'pass out' intoxicated and then whilst they are in a deep sleep, enter their tents to steal their mobiles and wallets. Another 'technique' is to shake a tent and call out something like 'Mark are you in there?' Pete Walker, organiser of The Farmyard Party said "The best and safe way to store your phone a purse/wallet is at the bottom of your sleeping bag, simply throw them down to the end of the bag and the thief wont risk putting him/her down there to get at your stuff. Never leave wallets, purses, phones or money in your tent whilst you’re away from it. If you can, meet your camping neighbours and watch out for each other." We urge people to be more vigilant until these pesky thieves stop targeting Motorcycle events!

  5. Have to say I've been pulled by a bike copper, but he backed off when l told him that l had my clear visor in the top box. He gave me a good stare and quoted that its got no kite mark and are there dangerous in the dark "never" Since then l've also seen bike cops using them, on bright days there a god send for me they rid the road of a lot of glare.

    Bad oil?

I get the same. Will be changing for proper bike oil soon too and see what difference it makes . Hi l doubt an oil change will make a difference, it's all down to a factor of things, gear ratios clutch slip - binding and engine rev's, as a rule first gear should only used to pull away this applies to most vehicle, as soon as your underway select second making sure you drop the revs enough to take the load off the gearbox. But really it's all about matching the engine revs against the selected gear ratio. If you are selecting first from neutral you pull in the clutch, what you doing is breaking the drive between the gearbox and engine, the engine is turning the gearbox isn't, the slightest drag on the clutch will cause the gearbox to clunk when you try to engaged, to reduced the clunk effect what you can do is slightly blip the throttle and then select the gear as the revs drop. Hope this helps give it a try.

    Bad oil?

Hi, l will say that an incorrect drive chain tension can play hell with the gear change, have a good look around and check things over before you go out spending.
  18. I cant understand the instructions I tried conencting to the PC last night i can hear the pc making the chime that something has connectred. but no drivers or whatnot to install think it might be because i dont have the SD card yet. That much l do know mate, you do need a card to fire it up
  19. Nice one Stu send me the link please. I'm having trouble configuring the time stamp, l'm sure it's me, l managed to set the Updates to Y and enter the data but for some reason it will not lock it in, any ideas or pointers. Taking the modified trailer out later loaded with my gear ready for Assen pic's to follow.
  20. yes it comes with a couple of mounting options, including a velcro strap that might be useful: Lol that's your guard dog tooled up then!
  21. That mike not got much protection against wind noise l have to say, where is it sited? Can a mod be done with it do you think?
  22. Get yourself a manual and a few basic tools. The manual, Youtube the Guy's on this forum should get you through the basic's checks and repairs, from there you'll build confidence to tackle the other jobs. It's the only way Mate, unless you've got a bottomless pocket.
  23. Take your time and relax, plenty of vids on YouTube to help you along. ">
