1. Use the bike's tool kit as a guide to what you need, size wise. You may only need spanners to adjust the chain and for the mirrors if they go lose. See what size they are. You may just need sockets that are 8 or 10mm for jobs like removing the front sprocket cover (for effective chain cleaning) and a decent screwdriver and set of allen/hex keys for any panel removal.
2. I am definitely bringing my Leeds top, but it is not going to be my fancy dress.
3. Mid afternoon for me. I have properly bashed my thumb in, so may be looking for assistance to put the tent up. It is getting the poles in. The rest is going to be fine.
4. Met Office weather for Bridgnorth Shropshire, so far OK. Likely to be raining Friday afternoon, but dry for the rest of the weekend.
5. There is a great series of instruction videos here; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEpKINHdz4nXWycDhI1xyUw The basics are the same for all bikes.
6. Transporting a costume does limit what can be done. I am not going to cook this year, so have a bit more space.
7. That's a 125cc! The exhaust is HUGE.
8. There are rave reviews elsewhere from people who have tried them out. I took have Lomo kit (the shop is near me) and the quality is superb.
9. The Globe pub (its two up from the Coral, with a Sky banner, closest I could get)
10. I have a thread about my attempts to do the ton. My attempt was not with a pillion, on a stretch of motorway that I could wait till it was clear for over a mile and in good weather. I also did not film it, so no one can actually prove I really did over 100 mph I used to ride pillion with a mate, till he did the ton over the Forth Road Bridge. After that I was not on a bike for 20 years, till I did my CBT. There is a huge different between considered risk taking and that of the rider in the OP, who is a danger to himself and the rest of us.
11. A lazy police officer would have shrugged the female passengers injuries off as minor (or ignored them as others have done), got the rider and driver to exchange details and left it at that. The rider is now able to go on with his idiocy till maybe someone dies. The diligent police officer checks all available evidence and uncovers a series of serious riding offences and we are all a bit safer on the roads.
12. http://news.hampshire.police.uk/news/video-motorcyclist-disqualified-after-he-was-caught-out-speeding-by-his-own-helmet-cam-315293 "During a two day trial, the court heard how Kuzmenok came to the attention of police after he was in collision with a taxi on West Quay Road on November 12. He was travelling with a female pillion passenger, who suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision, which saw the motorbike go into the back of the taxi. Officers seized his GoPro, which was attached to his helmet, as part of the investigation into dangerous driving. The footage revealed he reached speeds of up to 120mph along the M3 northbound, just four days earlier, on November 8. That footage also showed Kuzemenok travelling at 105mph along Thomas Lewis Way."
13. I don't see why that makes it any less of a crime though? Ok no one was hurt... That time... But regardless of any point to the contrary, his riding in general showed him to have a general disregard for the law and others, and this likely contributed to the crash which injured someone. So it's fair enough he had the book thrown at him. Dangerous behaviours breed dangerous accidents. The pillion he was carrying sustained minor injuries. Diligent police work has removed a dangerous biker from the road for longer than otherwise (but not long enough IMO, but that is down to the court).
14. Please read the report again. There was a pillion injured in the crash and he was an accident waiting to happen, which thankfully only resulted in minor injuries. What it shows is that there are some police who do investigate thoroughly and do check all available evidence. What you really want is the cop who checked the helmet cam to be put in charge of rape investigations, as we know he/she will check all the evidence and not miss out the hundreds of texts the alleged victim sent the accused, begging him for sex. That some police officers have been found wanting in the standard of investigation they do, does not mean all are so neglectful. It is because of rants like yours that people often get completely the wrong impression about the police, because just like the police they are criticising, they did not check the facts.
15. He runs into the back of a taxi and injures his pillion passenger. The police then find footage showing he is an idiot on a bike. Should have been banned for much longer IMO.
16. I found the Nikwax spray the best of the various types I have tried. Best as it last the longest. They are all effective for a short time, when the visor is still clean.
17. Our cats fight over which one gets to sleep on my bike seat.
18. I am going to go posh and eat in the hotel this year. I would like a diner on Friday and breakfast the next day. Can you also arrange delivery of a couple of pints to my tent. Thanks.
19. Happy birthday.
20. I’d be very happy if you did. Told Lewis it was fancy dress...... The look on his face said it all Told him he can go as a Leeds player. I.e wear a Leeds top. Look good for you Beefy on Facebook. Me n me new best mate . A Leeds fan Sorry Westbeef , new idea, I have my Leeds top, I can go as well. That's 2 down and another 9 needed, any volunteers?
21. I am planning on coming as you. So you will still be there not in fancy dress, even if you are the only one in fancy dress.
22. I use a battery pack that I can charge during the day from the bike.
23. Each to their own, but .... until you at rally and it pisses down the entire weekend and blows a gale and yours is the tent which is fine. I would buy the best tent possible unless you know you will only go out in decent weather. If you know you are committed to camping certain weekends and have no idea what the weather will be, I think it is worth investing for once a year. It will still be good in 10 years time (so long you pack it away dry).
24. The Aldi version; https://www.aldi.co.uk/ultra-light-camping-chair/p/083364224516600 £17.99. There was still a couple for sale in my local shop yesterday.
