  1. pretty sure you will be arrested if you dress & behave the same as at the rally
  2. I'm not allowing it due to incorrect spelling of cheep
  3. Same here, I bought my 125 geared bike having never used a clutch got it delivered to my work and taught myself how to use gears in the car park for a bit before riding home. Came incredibly easy to me even though I had actually binned a CBT (on a scooter no less) years ago for being incredibly under confident. fast forward about 5 years and I breezed through it (yes I know I haven't done my real license yet and should shut up until I do!) one thing I'm certain that helped my road confidence was that I cycled to work for roughly a year. made me develop road awareness and stop worrying as much about other road users. Also helped with taking corners etc. Above all if you really want it you will get there someday
  4. got to admit the title makes this seem like a lonely hearts ad
  5. x2 Try it on first. I have a cagiva and a hjc lid. both in the same size, the cagiva feels a little loose while the hjc is border lining being too tight my ears were pretty tender after my 160 mile trip to the rally a few weeks ago!!
  6. pretty sure it will be possible, depending on how the bike was restricted in the first place. could be something as simple as a washer in the exhaust or the carb could be restricted but most likely it will be the cdi . You would have to ask whoever you buy the bike off how it was derestricted and if they did it themselves or got a garage to do it.
  7. I noticed that too!!
  8. If you're unlucky and get a pull from an officer on a bad day they might have your bike taken away to be dyno'd in which case you'll be screwed. They know which bikes to look for and have seen them all before, aprillia's cagiva mitos Honda nsr's etc They also now have the power to crush nuisance bikes, I'm sure they could easily justify an illegally ridden, uninsured bike as a nuisance machine if they wanted to!! 9. if caught you will be done for riding with no license or insurance even if you do have it insured. 3-6 points on license, (6 points is all you're allowed on a provisional) maximum £1000 fine and possibility of being disqualified for 1/2/3 years as well. not worth it
  10. Mad World - Tears for fears
  11. what a wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
  12. Oasis - Joe Sample
  13. change them and the entire bike for one of the big 4 Japanese makes, less hassle & will sell for what you buy it for 9 times out of 10
  14. I have 2 lids, a flip and a regular. The flip one is much noiser in comparison but is much better when you want to talk to someone
  15. Just thought I would say that at the weekend it was the usual behaviour seen at every TMBF rally I have been to. We didn't behave any differently in light of you being there Throttled!!!
  16. last time I went on holiday I took the petrol tank off and put it in my shed! bit extreme for day to day but it made me feel better while I was away
  17. Long Brown Wavy Hair - Led Zeppelin
  18. he is a big man who carries an axe so I'll play it safe and not comment
  19. also look at the connections to the starter motor, might be dirty/rusty
  20. Home and dry!! Thanks to everyone involved for a great weekend once again. Great to see familiar faces and new ones too. Here's to next year
  21. something wrong when the site owner of a MOTORBIKE forum comes in a bloody car
  22. just opened up my hold-all that I haven't used since last years rally. Found my spada waterproof trousers I thought had been lost along with an assortment of sweet wrappers. I seem to of lost all my tent pegs though so guess I'm off to halfords
  23. The phone charger adapter won't put 12v into your phone, same as when you plug it into your house socket it doesn't get 240v pumped through its poor electric bits!
  24. It must be easy, I've got one!
