  1. clearly you missed the memo about pyjama wednesday
  2. our house is up for sale but god knows when it will go so could be in a month or years before we move , discussed with Wife and we have decided that in January she will have been at her new job for 3 months so financially we will be a hell of a lot better than we have been the last four years on just my wage and with christmas out of the way I can start my DAS. will get my theory out of the way before then.
  3. I'll be there, and as I am starting my license in january I should be coming on something a bit bigger, I better do anyway as I told owen he can chuck my bike in the river if I turn up on it again p.s. I assume that fancy dress & motorbike will be optional for a certain someone
  4. decided I will buy one, after we have moved house and I have a garage to keep bike in
  5. the threads are stripped out on my pinch bolt hole, I have used the good old fashioned bodge of a longer bolt with a nut on the end. This has lasted for a good 6 months without coming loose and is perfectly secure in my opinion but will it pass the m.o.t next week? at a guess the other options would be to replace the entire fork, helicoil or drill and tap a new hole. Just don't want to spend money on something unnecessary.
  6. they like to keep you in suspense, almost tingling with anticipation of the amazing things you will find in the wondrous mystical cave of adult delights that awaits
  7. yes I just want to play with air-tools no specific jobs in mind. You lot seem to be echoing the views of the Wife which wasn't my plan
  8. its funny really, of all the places to drop your bike this will be in one of the most embarrassing places as its full of bikers watching you but at the same time they are the very same who will rush to help you pick it up!
  9. looking to buy a small compressor for my shed. What would be a good size? Will be used for air-tool use mainly and ideally be semi portable as it would be easier to get it to my bike than the other way around
  10. pretty sure you will be arrested if you dress & behave the same as at the rally
  11. I would say no, you however should agree with whatever your wife says
  12. I'm not allowing it due to incorrect spelling of cheep
  13. Same here, I bought my 125 geared bike having never used a clutch got it delivered to my work and taught myself how to use gears in the car park for a bit before riding home. Came incredibly easy to me even though I had actually binned a CBT (on a scooter no less) years ago for being incredibly under confident. fast forward about 5 years and I breezed through it (yes I know I haven't done my real license yet and should shut up until I do!) one thing I'm certain that helped my road confidence was that I cycled to work for roughly a year. made me develop road awareness and stop worrying as much about other road users. Also helped with taking corners etc. Above all if you really want it you will get there someday
  14. got to admit the title makes this seem like a lonely hearts ad
  15. hope you got the number plate. bloody hooligans
  16. x2 Try it on first. I have a cagiva and a hjc lid. both in the same size, the cagiva feels a little loose while the hjc is border lining being too tight my ears were pretty tender after my 160 mile trip to the rally a few weeks ago!!
  17. pretty sure it will be possible, depending on how the bike was restricted in the first place. could be something as simple as a washer in the exhaust or the carb could be restricted but most likely it will be the cdi . You would have to ask whoever you buy the bike off how it was derestricted and if they did it themselves or got a garage to do it.
  18. If you're unlucky and get a pull from an officer on a bad day they might have your bike taken away to be dyno'd in which case you'll be screwed. They know which bikes to look for and have seen them all before, aprillia's cagiva mitos Honda nsr's etc They also now have the power to crush nuisance bikes, I'm sure they could easily justify an illegally ridden, uninsured bike as a nuisance machine if they wanted to!! [emoji24]
  19. if only you were nominated a few weeks ago when we were all next to the nice big river
  20. if caught you will be done for riding with no license or insurance even if you do have it insured. 3-6 points on license, (6 points is all you're allowed on a provisional) maximum £1000 fine and possibility of being disqualified for 1/2/3 years as well. not worth it
