  12. I had this happen to me. Water seeped into the button used to reset the gauge. Get your wd40 out
  13. I think the point Adam was trying to make is that you can knack your battery in by using jump leads from a car if the cars engine is running. It is safe to do it without the engine running though.

  17. where the choke cable attaches to the carb if you unscrew it you will find a spring inside. this is prone to snap or become deformed. it has happened to me and the previous owner of my bike. have a look and see, it will either need replacing or you might get away with cleaning all the crud off and reshaping it. if that is fine it could also be the idle screw which is on the left hand side of the bike nearish the fuel tap. unscrew that in quarter turns until the bike idles normally
  18. I have a bike tent but no where to put it as its next to impossible to get my bike into the garden and I have no driveway I'm keeping it for when we eventually move though I would prefer a nice heated garage
