  1. This might help http://www.mmra.org.uk/marci/cbr125/index.php
  2. My toolkit had a spare car tyre valve, some epoxy resin, an adjustable wrench and a small tin of 3 in 1 oil..... things you don't check when buying a second-hand bike Lol, I always keep the toolkit whenever I sell a bike on
  3. Most bikes take about 30 seconds to adjust, and you'll need a special spanner which will be in your tool kit!
  4. I change my preload because I'm usually two up, and I find it improves the handling and lets the bike turn sharper and not drift wide. Also it makes it so the headlight is at the correct height instead of blinding everybody on dipped beam.
  5. I'm not keen on the look of a high viz jacket etc.. so instead I ride with my headlight on, and I've also got red and white leathers and a bike to match, so hopefully stand out a lot more than a rider all in black
  6. Good man
  7. You haven't trapped any pipes have you, like under the fuel tank?
  8. just don't adjust anything inside, and don't take out or move any of the adjustment screws.
  9. The fuel filter is easy, just cut the tube that comes out the bottom of your tank and push both ends of the tube onto both ends of the filter.
  10. Well if thats the case, then you could really do with an inline fuel filter, and then you could do with cleaning the carb out by taking it apart. Fuel Filter
  11. Why do you need to clean it, whats the problem?

    Single wire system?

I'd say you don't have a CAN bus system. CAN BUS System

    Sticky rear brakes

I'd say that its nothing to do with them been dirty and no amount of lubricating etc will cure it. Its due to the fact that the brake shoes are too worn. The only cure is to buy a new set of brake shoes. If you do it yourself, careful you don't trap your fingers in the springs, it hurts!

    Tyres

These might be ok, maybe! Front http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=557121 Rear http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=557113

    Tyres

They're 18" tyres and the back tyre is slightly wider than the front, i.e 2.75 as opposed to 3.0. I guess the number 4 means 4ply and the 47p no idea, but that doesn't matter, you only need to know the size.
  16. Fun mainly, but occasionally for going to work
  17. Forget derestricting it, just sell your 125 when you've passed, which I'm guessing would fetch at least £1000 and buy yourself a bigger bike. It'll be cheaper than derestricting a 125 and it'll be a whole lot faster. Theres plenty of fast sporty bikes from around a £1000 up, and there was an Srad 600 for £900 on here somewhere.
  18. How about a cheap mobile phone on pay as you go (hidden somewhere under the seat), plugged in so its always got a charge and register it with one of those internet tracking companies. If it gets nicked, you'd be able to track it on the internet and go round and break their legs, or just send the boys in blue round. Like this one!
  19. Doh! I must remember not to hover over the racing threads, because I knew what you said before I clicked on it even though you made it a hidden spoiler. I'm pleased Rossi's done it again, but now I can't wait till next year. I'm kinda hoping 2009 will be Lorenzo's year, then we'll have 3-4 execellent riders battling for the title.
  20. I'm open for suggestions, but would like to stick around the Matlock/Buxton sort of area
  21. Anybody out later today? I should be out about 12-12.30
  22. I think the Ducati must be a little bit strange at handling and it just happens to suit Stoner, but I recon if Stoner was on a works Yamaha he'd still be good.
  23. Nicky won the AMA championship and the MotoGP championship before Stoner.... what did Stoner do before the 2007 season - feck all. Thats the way I see it anyway... I was at Donington for the GP this year and u could see how much harder he was trying than anyone else - for this I respect him but I wouldnt say he is better than Hayden. Nicky hasnt got on with the 800's but he was awesome on the 990's The way I see it is, before 2007 Stoner didn't have a bike good enough to keep up, and so he kept falling off. I don't see it as he wasn't good enough, just bad equipment.
  24. Got to agree with Techno, Hayden really isn't that good.

    next bike?

Don't be bothered about handling or engine performance. I doubt you'd be any quicker or slower on any of them. Therefore the only deciding factors worth bothering about are looks and price.
