  1. Welcome to the forum Winger, sorry to hear you sadly lost your wife, but glad you both experienced the joy of biking together, cool bike, where did you both like to visit? Love the automaton, you really are very clever.
  2. Sounds like a win husoi, hope it all goes well, your due something going your way !!
  3. Agree with husoi, little things can make life so much more comfortable, there's so much variety in clothing these days, I would always use full armour, look for clothing that has level 2 armour if possible and the thin versions available are much better/comfortable to wear than bulky foam ones, clothing is very personal, sportsbikeshop.co.uk has a lot on offer as early season, you must decide the conditions you will ride in and buy accordingly, eg waterproof needed? Or warm weather only like me? If you can go to a shop it's good to try on various brands as we are all different shapes, I went down in mens kevlar jeans a waist size and perfect fit, be aware of womens clothing with just pink/purple stripe can be less quality but more money, I always wear hi vis vest, you can buy bright pink ones if you prefer, because cars need to see you, even more so if you are a passenger as rear ending is a real danger, you must decide look of clothing and degree of armour etc you want , just remember if you come off even sliding down road can cause nasty injuries, happy shopping, stay safe
  4. Best to strengthen your back and core, Google exercises for sciatica, will help
  5. Hi harley, I only do warmer weather riding, no rain, as I have 40 year old bike, I have rst leather jacket full armour, though had to update back protector as only level 1, got D30 thinner style, very comfortable, tee-shirt underneath, helite vest and then high vis vest big enough to allow for inflation of vest, mens oxford trousers as better armour, oxford ladies boots, very comfortable but you need to go up a size, if I didn't have helite vest I would definitely go for added chest armour, can't believe most jackets don't have
  6. Well done Trooper for helping him out, that's something that will always stick with him
  7. Please remember David that it's so important to share and not keep things bottled up, your in a safe space, your family of fellow bikers, you are heard, I can't imagine what you've been through losing your precious wife, but I feel privileged to have seen her lovely smiling face, thank you
  8. Suffolk coast, celebrating wedding Anniversary, much cake, fine coffee and good company
  9. Well done bender, nice to know there are still some gentlemen out there
  10. If your wife was big enough to apologise, then I'd count that as a blessing!!
  11. Yes didn't realise till recently, if you don't use it or are not know by it, it doesn't have to be on your licence, so your very clever and ahead of the curve fiddlesticks!!
  12. This moveable ornament is essential to one's mental health, so a necessary and very valuable item which cannot be replaced by boring cars!!
