  1. I'm up for some camping so long as there's a good pub involved. I missed the last rally so not been camping with the bike for years!!
  2. Pot noodle and a 12v kettle
  3. We've already got enough with the one who blew herself up last summer. Whoa Whoa! This is a tale which needs telling! It's on the forum somewhere,I remember reading about it.
  4. Every workplace needs an office loonatic! Hire her for comedy value.
  5. No quickshifter either by the looks of things in the video. That's as suprise.
  6. This is a great idea. Thanks mate. Invest in some "case savers" to cover it up and help prevent it happening again.
  7. Not a lot of BHP for such a massive engine considering its supposed to be a sports/naked hybrid. Tidying up the numberplate will be tricky..
  8. Battle scars..
  9. This is more than likely what we will do. Our garage does have a rather strong looking beam half way up it. And the msx isn't exactly heavy They become surprisingly unstable when you hang them from the ceiling and remove the forks and wheel. If you have a rear paddock stand, make sure you use that to help prevent the bike flipping over.
  10. I dangled my GSXR600 from the garage roof to swap the forks. Thread on here somewhere.

    Cyclists

As wide as possible because they are likely to swerve unpredictably to avoid whatever they see at the last moment with zero consideration for what's behind them and an entitlement mindset.
  12. Unsprung mass reduction can also make the ride smoother. By reducing the ratio of unsprung to sprung mass the transfer of inertia from the unsprung mass (wheel, brakes etc)to the sprung mass (bike and rider) will also be reduced. It's the reason why big heavy cars feel less bumps on the road but small lightweight cars fell all the bumps. Same for bikes. As bikes get lighter, if the unsprung mass wasnt also reduced the ride would feel harsher.

    Cyclists

The 1.5 meter distance is because Cyclists regularly swerve without checking what's behind them. If Cyclists would do simple life saver checks there wouldnt be a need for a 1.5m rule. The train platform photo demonstrates this perfectly. People are allowed to stand less than half a meter away from a speeding train, but motorists have to give a wide berth to wobbly unpredictable Cyclists.
  14. Doesn't mention lower unsprung mass which is another important benefit of USD forks.
  15. It won't be done solely from wheel speed. Like I said before, it will have accelerometers/gyros/lean angle sensors or some other electronic trickery that detects the rapidly rising front wheel and turns the power down to limit the wheelies. You can't do that off wheel speed alone.

Drop an orange on a bowling ball and observe the result. Drop a bowling ball on an orange and observe the result. You're welcome. never keep oranges anywhere near bowling balls.. and bowling balls should stay in the bowling alley and not try to mix with oranges....

When I ride my mountain bike, I ride it like an absolute w@nker just to give Cyclists a bad name...
  18. It's will have lean sensors/gyros to sense the angle the bike is at and measure the acceleration in all directions. It will take the data, do some clever calculations, and if it decides you're going to flip it over it will limit the power by cutting the spark and/or fuel. Modern bikes are filled with all kinds of sensors..
  19. Use Gmail. Gmail lets you create unique emails by simply inserting a + and some words just before the @ symbol. So if your address was [email protected] you could create [email protected] and [email protected] etc. Then use filters to filter your mails. I do this all the time with websites as it means both the email and the password are unique. The danger of using your own domain is that if you ever decide you no longer need the domain and let it lapse, whoever registers it next has access to your email so make sure you change your email everywhere you use it before letting the domain lapse. When I buy aged domains I always setup a catchall email to see what email come in from the previous owners.. taken over some good twitter accounts by doing this in the past too.

Joe! Haven't seen you in ages Also, is this the right discussion to bring in proper homemade fudge? Hey, I've been around, more lurking than posting recently though.
  21. Just ride everywhere at full throttle safe in the knowledge your vehicle will save your license... And when it doesn't and you get a Speeding ticket, just sue the manufacturers for their failed speed limiting system.

  23. This is concerning... If your kids tell a teacher they identify as the opposite sex, the school will transition the child without the parents conscent.. ">
  24. It's a good job boys don't have periods.. imagine how competitive they would become over how much blood they lost. All boys have had peeing contests to see how high/far they can pee. Imagine what they would do with periods??
