  1. Depending on what you want out of tyres as they are very dynamic, they can make or break a bikes handling or feel. Michelins are a soft in feel but quite hard wearing tyre compound, soft construction which give a soft smoother ride but requires higher pressures and has some may say less feel of what they are doing but they great all rounder (winter is ok with them) if you dont need shouting at to trust them with few negatives. pirellis are sportier, slightly firmer and slightly warmer climate biased but still good. Which I’d say is inbetween to two others. bridgestones are harder carcass and rubber which is slightly oldschool, they will let you know what they are doing but they can have a quite hard plastic feeling to them (especially in cool and wet weather) if your that type of person that want them to shout at you. You might feel to drop the pressures slightly if you want a smoother ride but all that does is make the tyre rebound more (flex and spring back) which leads to strange wear and feel off or hard work. but again it depends on what you want out of them and you need for yourself.
  2. Is the tension checked properly again after it’s been torqued up? Check the crush drives.
  3. Personally I not a fan of BS myself, but some do like them. What was on them before and did you like them? If yes stick to that brand if not then change. Dont bother with any OEM tyres they are garbage and cost more. if you ride only summer time the Pirelli will do you good, they are on the royal Enfield range and a few others as std, good tyres but avoid the oem specs. bt45 were oem on jap bikes of that era but bs have slightly updated them from first release century ago.
  4. get the original sizes! unless for what ever reason they dont make them anymore. all the “over size” twice (front a rear) will make the bike quite noticeably slower to tip in and turn also the pressure may need upping atouch from the book’s recommended. But at least it would be crudely similar both front and rear.
  5. So let’s bring it back. So let’s bring it back to one . Bonio should post as a rant. even if he’s making a point about the none rant while not ranting about it himself, So I’ll rant about the none rants to an not a rant posts that don’t rant in a ranting thread. .
  6. Yea. Bit of a beast is that yam thing! loosing the front will be difficult, and wont fall over unlike a very expensive and unnecessary complication of a nikken, cheaper service, running cost not needing a full licence. At least it uses the benefit of a double radius tyre profile (front and rear) to help steer and agility. Its much smaller and lighter profile while being accommodating. the Harleys trike positive aspect is that it uses car tyres on the rear for wear and straight line stability but your always asking so much more from the front to try and steer because the rear doesn’t really want to work like (and its weight bias is very much at the rear) that so its a stubborn mule of two half’s. more similar to a reliant robin in many ways and we all know how well that can go. if it was just me in my situation with a choice of the two, id go with the tri city.
  7. Just to clarify I know of a person that is (contract paid) to fix bikes for them, when they don’t have a clue (which is pretty much all the time) but he only does the ones where the mark up allows them for his work, they dont fix them nor service them correctly too. Another bike place to avoid is Ritebike in Bradford/leeds. Many dodgy and criminal acts goes on there. clocks changed after purchasing of a 4thou original minter to a 10thou eBay scrapper. front wheel changed of a 4thou original minter and the replaced with 40thou winter hack scrap yard special post purchased all without telling me. I suspect they wanted that mint wheel for another bike with a higher mark up. Fluids not changed along with a lot of other stuff but The most worrisome and dangerous was it apparently passed it MOT after their “criminal work” was done but still all the front brake mounted bolts under face wasnt touching the fork leg cast let alone even finger tight! Beware!
  8. N reg? That 1974-75 if that’s correct - don’t think they were out at that time. anyways Cam chain tensioner and carbs unbalanced. check cable springs, Cables for slick movements and mounts for not movement.
  9. Sorry to say it but most expensive/middle or high end bikes store a lot of what goes on with them and what you do, cars have been doing it for years, even little shed boxes store so much data that could incriminate you. geo fencing, privacy monitoring you have to allow it all to be used before you can use a car (some brands are more forceful of this than others) wether you like it or not. thanks for buying this very expensive product but you have to allow us to do away with all your rights/wants/ideals before you can use this product which is all hidden away in small print in a program you have to click yes before we will allow you to go anywhere or see the screen of how fast your going, welcome to the new age of tech and controlling.
  10. Looks like following a fad just because they think they can/should, Doubt it would work well. even after all these years they cant even get websites to allow for hardly any use cases/work/do anything properly so they have no chance with their own app for all platforms.
  11. Sizing world is very different to each sport or hobby and even any given manufacturer end of you dont get hung up about sizing to civvy clothes. Normally it’s not the size of the jacket that affects that but the cut of it and what your using it on. If you’ve gone a touring jacket that extends with extra material beyond your crotch and crack with pockets etc. yes you can sort of sit on the back tail of the jacket but most of the time it just pulls at the hips and top legs and pulls the front up digging at you front, so you’ll move to give room which then release the back the front just bunches up and the rear will lift up which is where most likely the back protector will be higher and bunches top of shoulders and neck so it sort of puffs up. Sounds like you went for fashion fit/cut rather than rider fit/cut. now you’ve got a sports cut jacket but was it enough for you? depending on your body fit, keg or take build, Broad shoulders or slender, low shoulder height to neck relationship. Everyone is different and what is good for one is terrible for another. now if it’s riding up while you have your arms up as in a riding position I’d guess it’s cut is for a broader/stockier body with less movement so either the under arm has not enough movement/flexibility designed into it-stretch panels are great for this. which to allow you move your arms up so the jacket has to lift itself up and or the shoulders/protectors have not enough give to allow lift. sorry to say it but I don’t think you found the right one for you.
  12. Hi
  13. I have to say I joined the STTC (stuck to the clip ons) club, many many years ago. quite new shoes and clips were set up well, sometimes a little more effort but always let go when testing. happened at a set of lights on a very busy main road on both sides on full show, Didn’t hurt much but pride and confidence very dented.
  14. That’s a an advance feature, at a cost . just click the picture and your device should scale it properly, if not as it to and remember.
  15. Yeah shhhhhh, we would have told him eventually?
  16. DPD. wife has ordered a new set of wheels, dont get excited it’s got four of them. Pictures to follow.. anyway, they wasted a day to eventually collect the item from the WH. then through the 20plus booking and logging its steps while it’s at Hinckley depot, can’t be hard just send to to their Preston depot and deliver it to us from there?? nope some noob decided to send it to the other far side of Britain called Newcastle instead??? Wasted another day (after we brought to their attention they screwed up) deliver from Newcastle to us then instead? Hell even just send it to Preston branch from there? Nope they decided to waste more time send it back to Hinckley, then only for them to do what they originally were meant to do and send to Preston branch, at least the Preston branch delivered it in a early timely fashion and not at 5-7pm. Anyway the driver nice enough young chat but definitely needs to go to the gym, very much struggled with the 14-17kg box.
  17. Yep that person was. One thing that often re occurs. they thought they were smart and sly enough but got caught out. they think you shouldn’t be challenging what is as they consider their personal space, doesn’t matter if that small space (head or body wise) is in a public area, even if that requires them to actually be responsible for their actions and be respectful to others.
  18. Funny enough didnt Fortnine do a vid on this? or one very similar to this exact model not long ago? it was amusing but still to the point, a very specific niche market/idea that nobody asked for even in Japan especially with a far better public system, with many Flawed ideas/reasons to design it the way they did. Could a modern design with upto date technology make it work better? Maybe but with e-bikes or scooters (which are small and fast enough with uneducated, untested, unlicenced, uninsured, muppets riding these things which is having bad time and rep (especially this side of the hemisphere) it’s a up hill struggle at best id say.
  19. Click on it and it will bring it up to a normal auto scale page. bike ok for all year round hot dwelling city folk only but for the rest of people it’s a lot of compromises, too many for me personally. let hgv, vans and cars have ev and let us bikers continue the old school of propulsion, id just be pushed to hybrid when they eventually arrive.
  20. They would im sure they would prefer it as smaller pre fit parts sl they can hang/hook it any how they thing it’s best, you can be sure you coated all of it. plus it would be easier to transport it there and back. You could take pictures first before you do it. The only part that you may noob up on it being the wrong way is the mid section.
  21. troop - That would well and truly exceed the 160 heat curing and the consistency of that needed.
  22. Oh and by the way Astro it’s not a wheelie assist machine either
  23. Didnt know you could turn off carbon?
  24. Well just to answer a your recent question to this dusty thread, it’s a ground wire that would go to the frame ground point.
