Thats the problem the new system creates more problems than it actually solves of ownership by adding more steps than necessary... it doesnt teach safe road attitude which me personally i think is invaluable. depends on what your long term thoughts are and not what you can accomplish but the worst things you personally think will get you into trouble... if you have no self control of speed demon acts then dont bother or just het the heavier or more likely a slower of the A2 (cruiser) you can... if te bike has a power limit on it you can just use that till you're happier but then again do you have naughty ideas of switching if off....if your not strong or tall enough for a bigger bike (again based on you as a person) or the price is to much to justify then used 125s or a light 250...pushing 300 might be the middle ground for you.

Go by realistic goals, long term achievements, willing to learn from peers without a self pretentious attitude and actual self assessment of mental self control go A2. In other words if you have lack of control, stupid tendencies and no self preservation stick to 125s at the most until you can. as Westy says which ever route you go just do everybody a favour research the brands and dont get a Chinese bike/affiliated/built bike....just dont.

Nope youll get absolutely no where with that train of thought because their obligation is to try and keep roads open, clear, safe as possible (within reason). So a little inconvenience of salt corrosion is the far lesser evil for everyone concerned than most roads being un passable and dangerous due to snow and ice. if i was in power id make all seasons tyres the law for cars and vans, or at least over a certain point in the year. Think its less salt more poor materials, parts and workmanship.

As quick off hand suggestions: like BF said, they need a really healthy battery. any immobiliser? Even the std one can interfere when not wanted. With your thought of timing etc possible if its getting a signal to say its live (no fault) but not getting the correct one it's thinking for its next phases. other possibilities is the tip over switch. ill mull it over to see if owt pops in.

Std for so many reasons, those std ones look quite abit adjustable compared to the normal ones you get. i agree with nick but if thou no point if you cant filter with wide bessie. sure someone will say : you only need to look behind you if your slow. .

Slight difference for me, i cant see me ever owning a honda... , wife has one but still the same feeling. if free and in good nick maybe but certainly not with my own money.

Well done! as Shep says now the real learning begins cos most of what you were told was just to pass a test not actually ride properly on the road, But don't forget what you were told about safety and live savers... as an extra i always look left before my right over my shoulder when passing the last exit of a round about before my turn cos drivers around here (lancashire/yorkshire) dont seem to see a bright blue bike with lights on while im wearing a mostly white with red and green stripe helmet for extra contrast resulting in either being T boned or drive into the back as they race out to beat the car behind me.

Yep its silly and can actually land the drive in trouble for that one. If the two outer lanes are full and your flowing down the left its not illegal, If with caution (for nobs that dont look and indicate before changing lanes) Thats being sensible by lane filling or utilising, stark difference.

I like the idea of it and seems to be one of the better thought but i can see one problem that will be a spat of crime related, nicking the batteries...
