  1. Bike looks certainly pleasing compared to some of their other offerings. Im no cruiser buff but it sort of reminds me Arns bike off the terminator...and someone will quip then your honda was the conners bike that got ran over... Is that your dad or the bike you're referring to as HIM? yes your right its gonna be totally different, body position, weight, balance, brakes, engine dynamics and characteristics. the hd is mostly engine sounds that they dont dampen out as much as say the Japanese do with their motors, cuz it gonna sound rough and gruff dude and the stars and stripes constitution says so✌. Faster is not quite the word id use but certainly more eager (rolling on the throttle and that torque lower down the rev range) compared to the honda its a relaxed road experience of as you put it a "gentlemans" HA bike.
  2. Yeah dont blame the manufacturer just solely dealer! dont let them work on it or pay them and go to a different one if you have to or just go to a private garage. write a lovely email to nissan about your experience and problems with the dealer to investigate, some manufacturers do care as it hurts there brand image... did it to two fiat/renualt combo dealers, both not trading with the brand shortly afterwards before folding cos of bad business practices. help yourself and others to rid of the crooks.
  3. Who did the inspection? The dealers tech? Well if thats the case of what you said i wouldnt trust the tech nor the dealer involved, especially if they want to change the discs too early...sounds like your beeing milked.
  4. This a leaf again? i know the first gens had heavy Regen on them so you hardly really needed to use the brakes but alot of people didn't like the feeling nor trust it so the later generations they relaxed it and made it adjustable even later on. So same materials used but youd use the brakes more and wear them out quicker, maybe thats the case? oh you took the bait and signed up.
  5. Zero
  6. ...
  7. The discs will be rusty from the top (outer rim and where the vents are between to two fiction surfaces) and inner surface below the pad if thats the case. Surface Rusting on the friction surface (faces) with a regular used disc is just due to the iron and other metal elements withing the disc, ugly looking but not worth replacing. wear now this can be a combination of the two types of material used together... but to round this off quickly: 1 disc - hard or soft. 2 pads - hard or soft. So one combination = c 1soft 2hard. second =c 1soft 2soft. with a combination of owt between that could be interchangeable. so you could get robbed if you had soft discs and soft pads... bwhich from the sounds of it youve got that one combo. there are positive and negatives for each type which i wont go i to with this post... Without seening the discs (wear and lipped?) and pads (wear) difficult to know if they are taking the piss and want to change it too soon just to fill their pockets as its not the first time a dealer (not just nissan) to do this trick. dont know why your taking it to nissan dealer? Especially for the brakes or even a basic service, Just use a trusted local garage...
  8. doesn't matter
  9. Belt and belt tension id look at.
  10. How old and miles?
  11. mileage
  12. Your Missing the point to the answer which I answered clearly for some reason. the dust is blatantly showing the wear issue which is giving the clue like brass rubbing. Which again i said to get the best from it... now westy thats sounding like an assumption, like would you trust all mechanics? To know everything?
  13. As i said its not entirely the best pic but seems so. Front tyre light and dark patches especially on the far side show it, part of the upper tread points down so where the tyre should be light from the road dust but it is dark so the tyre is puckering in or moving too much pounding that part of the tyre wearing it out faster... now depending on how many miles that tyre has done or if its had a proper fork service since.
  14. Got
  15. Ive
  16. Thats fine when it works.. ..but id be more interested if it Would do robot wars, arm wrestling or thumb wars for actual entertainment?
  17. 76 probably too many?
  18. If i was gonna use a system the nemo is one id use as it would fit my needs well enough.
  19. No its correct. The design is to push water away from the centre tyre toward the outer side and flick the water away and outward from the contact patch (touching the tmac) especially when on the side of the tyre as its rolling forward. also if the tread was the other way the braking forces would close up the tread when you really need them to stay open and push the water away. fronts and rears have different jobs and so they're designed as so. id be more concerned about the pressure and fork rebound, the picture isnt the best but suggest it would be better to sort it out to get the best from it.
