Bolts on front of Tiger - what ones should I be looking at?
RideWithStyles replied to peatear's topic in Pitstop
Sorry same here. what id do is check ALL the bolts lengths and diameter that your replacing. just incase they are different so for example the top two could be 20x5mm and the ones lower down could be 30x7mm because they have more weight/material to support...cos you never know!!! -

Best non job for cheaper insurance?
RideWithStyles replied to Nick the wanderer's topic in General Chat
Depends on your circumstances and for how long will you be between jobs? If its fairly soon with a similar role then nothing is different, if its going from an office slave to a knuckle dragging manual labour work in a dangerous environment then it might be needing to be changed. The other suggestions vary in cost and impact. do/claim less miles, different journey times, A different bike, do a collage course and say your a student... -
. Noticed he and joe wanted you to feel the pain and shame of going over it yet again and again . Sounds like You Did it like a rock star!️ Ive dropped mine before like a pathetic lowly noob.... road looks nice.

Waterproof suit
RideWithStyles replied to Yos Sam's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
One pieces if designed and made well IF YOU ARE THE CORRECT body shape of who designed it....which are a serious compromise. The one positive is that its just one piece to try to find and get on which some people don't like or stuggle. More zips and longer ones with more sows are weak points. Now not to say to they are crap as i had a oxford one and it did serve me well for the very occasional use and freak weather pattern in the early days but its cut/fit was abit vague for any particular person to put it mildly. i had a two piece Frank Thomas that did again a grand job, again two different parts is good as if one is damaged you only have to replace that one and two piece suits are easier to find. Also if tou think its gonna do a light drizzle just a over coat will be better than roasting in a full hasmat suit... so tour gonna have to work out what and when your gonna be using this? the other is if you have long arms and shorts legs you could mix them to get a actual decent fit, say a oxford top and a frank thomas pants for example or a revit or one and a furgan for the other. so realistically your gonna have to try them on and get into you riding position while in the shop cos thats where its gonna have to do it purpose. -
Part numbers seem to be the same.

Bolts on front of Tiger - what ones should I be looking at?

Agree with FS. that part of the headlight which is already sharing 5 other point of fixture points in a high stress area from heat/cold, vibration and pressure from wind speed that is just plastic aint really designed for weight bearing points of a nav and your thinking of just one point unless your gonna put a beeline on? well how thick is the mount? is the bolt thread fully mounted into the inside thread? Half way? You need to check and if you are gonna just go and do it regardless id use a light thread lock and treat it like its staying there for a very long time. Really Just mount the nav to the clocks brace as mentioned before or the handle bar or use a stem ball joint mount or put it in a mini tank bag. -
I agree with nick. there were similar issues a few towns away with people doing similar, which dont get me wrong it can be useful for the regular residents/rat run but if it causes so many a problems just because people are stupid or cant be trusted by it just take it away. fill in that middle junction and get people to go the longer way just get people to go with the flow down the the next round about or proper junction.

Hello. nice

Agree Westy but hopefully not, and will go back to being a useful person in society. if the neighbourhood will know and shop them in if thats the case. but if hes really that stupid then a longer term on the naughty boy step will be required , its not a perfect system but it can work with its a bit of a "kick the can down the road" but looking at it long term they may realise they wasted their life on a wrong action ontop of another wrong action, so even a rat learns from the lab maze run. But that is looking really far ahead of ourselves.

Wow how stupid is that young person....don't want that person controlling a vehicle on the road. Yep it's dangerous driving that, cant even fall into driving without care or attention- simples. yep bet even the solistiors said own up or yourll be inside for longer and get your arse slapped. At the very least he has insurance? Get some good solicitors (DW), they will help make sure insurance the company doesn't miss what rehabilitation or other costs are required, at least getting your family back to somewhere normal. Hopefully the recovery is quick! The muppet will have to retake all tests Again if they chooses to drive legally again. it will stay on his license beyond the 4year term of normal naughty behaviour (system) after if he gets a new licence. his insurance will black mark his name in the system making it even harder and expensive to get a policy again for many years afterwards. If he goes inside for a bit, getting a decent job afterwards will be more difficult unless he's planning of lying? Anyway put it this way, his stupidity has made life more difficult for himself for the foreseeable future.

Welcome, yep see it the same as Steve and nick.

Fluctuating coolant level in overflow bottle
RideWithStyles replied to r1blu's topic in Motorbike Chat
I agree with the others. Could be that there were an air pocket at one point and while riding it it just movered it and the water replaced it but indoing so lowered the level. oh and dont just check the window in the case, check under the oil cap before and after running the bike, also check the colour of the coolant for separation contamination when the system is stone cold... -
dont get me wrong I like my nxr, the interior is very nice and well made though i still think there is small improvements that could be made that wouldn't impact on price to my thinking. id say if fits your head perfectly and it does what you like perfectly and your prepared to pay the price sticking with shoei is ok. why you looking on changing already? Off memory you've only been riding a short time? Should nt due a change yet unless your going fashion matching with your bike? Which case a less sports style of glamster or neotecs from shoei if you want to stick with them again would be a wiser move? Another option would be to get yours repainted but that would cost as much as another helmet again.

I agree with Bender especially with new riders that have opportunities to buy this bike. Shiney side up is always best, unless its a car..., ive it happened to me too. but as ive been with and without assists with flipped bikes around on tech, the ones of non and with ABS (currently back to not with ABS again),others have had long time experiences of training not to have to tempt faint, but if your new is there harm for road use on what is essentially a true road or tourish baised bike like this one is? Especially if it's variable.
