Wife wants to treat me so its my choice & I'm stuck between;

A. Freefall classes

B. Track training day.

Freefall never done always wanted, 6 jump course, track training day will give me better road, bike, cornering skills to be used indefinitely.

Track day, any recommendations? I'd like to push my limits but under training.

Looks like a track day is in the running.

I'm pretty quick & smooth on the roads, Im looking for training on getting smoother/faster/body positioni/knee down etc etc.

Never like it when the pegs kick me up/out so guidance/training on that is needed.

So, options/recommendations/where/who with? Most welcomed.

Lee.

I'd jump out of a plane!

It's a new experience... and if you're a biker you are more likely to end up doing track training later in the future. where as sky diving this may be the only chance you get to do it, and you may find it will spark a new more mental hobby!

I would go with Sky diving, because that's not something you get to do very often. Track day will happen sooner or later anyway.

If you do go with track, I second California bike school. They are one of the few bike schools that the insurance companies over here list as acceptable track schools ie. they will insure you if you go down. This is in South Africa, so they must be doing something right! Lol, I know very weird hey...

:stupid:

I have done a parachute jump and as amazing as it was, I don't think I'll do another one. I am yet to do any track riding but have done track days in a car. I will do one one day but I don't think the experience will compare to being forcibly removed from a perfectly servicable aircraft at 13000ft, I even saw the damn thing landing!

Anything you learn on a track is irrelevant for the road. On a track you can push things right to the edge. On the road you need to keep a little in reserve for the unexpected. Never could see the point of overtaking with nothing coming the other way

Anything you learn jumping out of a plane and freefalling could well be life changing.

Given the choice.......Neither.....I'd rather take the bike out for a run 8-)

One the track your closer to the ground,,, being a devote coward with no head for heights, the thought of jumping from an aircraft scares the crap out of me,,,,,,,,,,,,, I think that's the one I'd go for,,,,,,,,,, look out for falling CRAP :D

I've never done a trackday, and I really really want to do one very soon, but I know people who've done both of these things. Track day seems to be a great day out, learning a few new skills and taking a sportsbike to the very limit of it's potential has gotta give you a grin. Lots of the people I know who've jumped out of planes have said that the first time literally changed their lives forever, for the better. It kinda makes you look at everything differently... if you think about it, it is one of the most surreal and mental things you can possibly do.

I say JUMP.

Thanks peeps ;)

I've decided to do the jumps having always wanted to do freefall.

After the 6 jumps I can qualify for the full licence, which means I can jump from higher..!

So the say will be, ride the bike for an hour up to Lancaster, jump out of a plane a few times then ride home..

Seriously what could be ANY better?

i presume that over the next few years that you intend to spend more time riding than jumping from planes?

so maybe the rider training might be of more use.. :D
