I went to Turkey last year... had a great time.

We stayed at Lykia World, Olu Deniz.

Very friendly bunch, and the all inclusive resort had amazing food!

its a bit of a family resort though, so if you dont have kids it might not be your thing.

Paragliding down from the top of a mountain and landing on the beech 5 second walk from my dining table was pretty cool experience. 8-)

And the scenery was good too..

I hear it's a place you don't want to do cheap, but don't have to spend a lot to have it good :thumb:

I'm more of a go and do something person. But I have a major hard on for going to theme parks... Can't really afford California at the moment so Florida it is!

I'm going for the third successive year, mainly as the 1st time was fairly crap, the 2nd time was great, so this time I plan on blowing the roof off

Turkey - World of wonders resort Bodrum, very nice all inclusive for a good price.

Las vegas - Aww yeh. I stayed at mirage.

Tenneriffe - Got a couple here but most in the costa adeje area are good, also siam park is a fantastic waterpark.

Heres my trip advisor i do a lot of reviews so have a read ;)

Turkeys good, I stayed near Olu Deniz, got a good deal as when i booked the hotel wasn't finished, they only finished it about 3 weeks before i went out.

However good restaurants out and about, nice beach and good excursions. I'd recommend it but wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.

Just be prepared for the touts with their knock off gear!

Its the land of the genuine fakes!

The pride themselves on fake stuff.

They do indeed, some of it is actually decent quality, did a tour around a leather factory where they did some really nice knock off jackets, still cost a bomb though!

Back on to other holiday recommendations, I've been Lucky enough to have been to New York, Thailand and Barcelona in the last 2 years, all of which I'd recommend but not so much if you just want a cheap sunny get away. :D

Went to turkey 20 yr back but to be honest even tho its cheap I won't go back. (After the leeds stabbings a few year back)

We did a holiday village in Portugal last year. Fantastic for the kids.

Done some of the Caribbean prior to having kids. Jamaica was lovely.

Depends totally on what your after.

As someone else mentioned. I wouldn't go cheap if you are already going to a cheap country.

We did that in Tunisia. Never again. ...

Done Bulgaria, not bad but wouldn't return,

done Ibiza loved it but expensive.

done Cyprus loved it but expensive.

Been going to Benidorm once or twice a year

for the last few years! not everyone's taste

but we love it! Fantastic value! 8-)

Geneva is well worth a visit, as is pretty much anywhere in the Canton of Bern but Kandersteg in particular.

Helsinki is also well worth a trip. Lovely city, lots to see, very friendly people and awesome food. Tinned bear and wolf on a market stall amused me greatly - wasn't blown away by the taste of wolf or the price of bear, though

I have to promote Spain!

Many holiday makers who stay in our area have tried Turkey and say it is the place of dreams or nightmares.

Las Vegas was the best holiday I ever had, not for everyone but they have something for everyone.

Los Angeles is a shit hole and there isn't anything near anywhere else.

Cancun is amaaaazing fun.

Safari to Kenya is an expensive way of staying in a tent, being dragged out of bed at stupid o'clock, driving in a suspension deficient viewing vehicle and watching a Giraffe have a piss.

Jamaica is ok if you like your hotel and love guided tours away from it.

France is expensive, the people in the south are total shits but the people in the middle are brilliant.

BVI ??

Okay cancel that, British Virgin Islands

In my honest opinion. ..

Jamaica - loved it. Leave the hotel tho. See the place.

Dominican Republic - Nice but a bit shabby.

Margarita - Fantastic. But hotel bound.

Cyprus - Aya napa=shit hole. Rest of it lovely.

South France - Nicer the closer you get to Catalan\Basque regions.

Malta - No good for kids.

Portugal - Really nice.

Spain - Never had an issue wherever we've been.

Tenerife - Didn't like.

Turkey - Will never go again on principle.

Tunisia - Shit hole

New York - Got to do it once

Norway - loved it.

Plus various places around Europe watching the football but they were mainly city breaks.

Hungary lovely for a city break, so is Copenhagen.

I bet he got with a lovely Turkish lady, then found out they had a lovely *surprise* in between their legs

That seems to keep men away from ever going somewhere again.

No just football prejudices.

After the leeds stabbings \murders a few years back I and many others around here will never go back.

Yes I know its harsh and ridiculous but hey thats life.

When me n the lads went to bodrum 20 yr ago it was a good laugh. Place was a bit shabby to say the least but a good time was had by all.

Mmm, Thailand... Cheap everything, good food, ridiculous beaches, mega weather, great diving, rule of 3.

Google the candlelight hotel. Fantastic place and scored 9.3 on bookings.com. I've been on two occasions
