I have also done the out the blue split, I imagine my divorce will get sorted later this year. Having said that in hindsight the warning signs had been there for a good 6 months I just tried to fight it.

Been there, Done that! My divorce came through 8 months ago. Together for 10 years married for 14 months

A bit of advise though... I'd leave out the dating sites until you've got your head sorted and are not 'vulnerable' if you like.

Although I'm sure there are plenty of nice normal women on these sites there are a lot of women that will f**k you up if you are not very very careful. The reason I'm saying this is that my uncle has experience of these sites

Feel for you Phooey,I had the same experience at 40. Here's my advice, make sure you look after yourself & eat properly, take time to mourn, do whatever it takes to get unresolved emotions on an even keel. And as others have said, socialise. ( sex)
