CBRTOM Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Hi currently have an akrapovic exhaust on my bike and there is some yellowish discolouration on the top of the end can sleeve and asking for help in how to clean it off? If that’s possible thanks. Quote
CBRTOM Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 Will it do any damage to it? I’ve used autosol on stainless but not titanium thanks for your reply Quote
Six30 Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Shouldn't do , ive used it before on titanium exhausts .Also Wd40 . Quote
manxie49 Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Yep agree with six, I used autosol on the Akro exhaust on my last bike, titanium as well, no problems at all, washed and dried the exhaust, then applied autosol and buffed off with a microfibre cloth, don't use excessive pressure when buffing there's no need. fastbob Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Autosol is a bit coarse . Flatting compound used in body shops is effective as a metal polish and gives a good finish . Personally I'd just leave it and call it patina . Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 I've been told Harpic 10x cleaning spray removes the gold tarnishing discolouration. Quote
learningtofly Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Another advocate for WD40 here Quote
