grunthorpe Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Good afternoon folks,For those of you who didn't see my original post, I'm back after a bit of a break and looking forward to next year's challenge!I've bought myself a 1995 CBR900RR and couldn't be happier with her, after already putting a few hundred miles on the clock (unfortunately for the bike she'll be ridden in all weathers!). I've included some pictures for your viewing pleasure: Let me know what you think,Nick Quote
ThePhatomfart Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Nice bike Nick , like all the 900rr's from 92 till 2003 , not too fussed on what came after Quote
Beans Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Very nice. I like the way it looks original, to my inexpert eyes. Particularly the exhaust: please promise you won't be changing that for some aftermarket pipes Quote
The Hitcher Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Very nice. I like the way it looks original, to my inexpert eyes. Particularly the exhaust: please promise you won't be changing that for some aftermarket pipes For me it was the other way around, my first bike after a 400 was one of these, a 1994 one and I just didn’t end up getting on with it very well unfortunately, had a 954 and loved that and a 2006 one and that was great too.OP it’s a great looking bike, Classic 90s Fireblade and I hope you enjoy it . James in Brum Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Lovely looking lines on that bike Quote
Guest Richzx6r Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 I do like the older blades, newer bikes to me look too small Quote
skyrider Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 hi grunthorpe smart looking bike, do you ever go in the wine glass Quote
JackieOWheels Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Nice bike grunthorpe, I love how there is a crash bar at the front. I guess it's pretty useful if you wanted to mount anything. I do love the colour profiles of that bike, looks great for it's age. Quote
grunthorpe Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 Thanks for all the kind comments, she was a great find! The exhaust is actually aftermarket I believe, the brand is Remus, but it sounds good without being too loud. The crash bar is interesting, I think it must be an original part, it seems to be pretty integral part of the bike but I could be wrong.I rode her for around 300 miles straight from the dealership and she didn’t skip a beat, but you do have to be very positive with the shifter! Lots of character though, doesn’t feel like a mundane production line machine at all! Quote

grunthorpe Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 The "crash bar" is a frame part that holds the mirrors and screen steady On that note, the mirrors are totally disgusting and out of place. I’m almost certain they’ve been replaced after a mishap! Quote
ThePhatomfart Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 They look right for their time, maybe you could experiment with new ones Quote
Claud 14.7 to 1 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Awesome... the bike I never bought but always wanted. Quote
fastbob Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I wish I'd had a Blade during my sportsbike years instead of those bloody great GSXR 1100s . Quote
