Keeper96
Morning all, I’m on the look out for a first bike after passing my DAS, I’d love a sports bike but being 6’3 and 24 stone I’d look ridiculous and they all feel to cramped, but on the other hand I’m not a fan of the enduro bikes like the triumph tiger, bmw gs etc. But I’ve just found the Multistrada and I love the look of them, the only thing I’m not sure on is the fact it’s a 1000cc bike. But a lot of people say v twins are more forgiving? There is a 620 but none within 200 miles of Durham Any input is much appreciated Jamie

Stu
Insurance is usually the main constraint so check them firstIt's OK buying the bike you want but if you can't get insurance then it's a no go
Keeper96
Insurance is around £150 more than a gsx650f which was my other main contender so I’m fairly happy on that. If the consensus is just do it then I’m a happy man!
rennie
If you want it, you can afford it and afford to run it ( insurance, maintenance etc)Then go for it!

Maintenance “shouldn’t” be an issue, I’m a fitter by trade and it’s all just nuts and bolts... As long as it’s not too much bike then I’ll definitely be getting it
Bender
Multistrada is probably more prone to electrical gremlins, they are a very quick upright ride, they are however restrained by the rider, it will only go as quick as you want, but if you want then very quick it will go.Have a ride on one that's the best place to start.
