Well, a nice ride with a set of new Road 5s fitted was quite an eye opener! The handling is up there with that of my old Street Triple, and the Showa/Ohlins suspension set-up is wonderful.

A couple of photos... what a beautiful looking thing it is!

Nice looking bike. Is that Luton Hoo?

Yes it is - well spotted.

Bet it sounds bloody lovely with those pipes.....

Just to be sure though I think a video should be posted :thumb:

It sounds unbelievable, Rich. I did shoot a video - I just need to edit it - but with the mic inside my helmet you don't get the full sound effects, sadly.

it's funny you should ask that. I went out for about an hour's ride yesterday and three or four cars did indeed pull over to let me past/through. I had two stationary car drivers wind their windows down for a chat, a couple of thumbs up from cars driving past me in the other lane, and a long chat with someone when I was parked up. I've never come across such interest in my bike before.

That's that same reaction as I get with the Bobber. On group rides I'm always in front clearing the path because people do respond very positively to the sound of that engine.

I thought our Gloucestershire roads were bad but yours look even worse! Bike looks nice though.

Yeah, it’s a nightmare - if it’s not traffic it’s cameras.

Nobody does "heritage" like triumph.

are those rims alloy they look really well and finish the bike off

Yes, the stock rims are spoked alloys. The only thing I'd change if I could would be to go tubeless, but I don't fancy the kits and it's not worth spending money on new wheels just for that reason (for example, a set from Kineo would be about £2600).

Made a little video of a ride with another YouTuber out to The Original Tea Hut in Epping Forest. As I've mentioned before, the nosh is top notch, especially the sausages :P

Thought I'd post a shot of the bike looking relatively clean, 'cause I'm not really an avid washer. (Errr, of the bike, I mean - I'm very clean personally speaking.)

Fantastic photo there @learningtofly

Thanks mate. I have to admit that I do still get pangs when I look at photos of the R9T but I'm so happy to be on a classically-styled Triumph again that the pain is bearable.

Been quite poorly for a few days with my tooth (hence the radio silence) but I did manage to get a video from a while back uploaded to YouTube. It's not very exciting, though.
