S-Westerly Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Well this course is all I expected. However the big plus is that it only runs from 0700 to 1030. Not exactly arduous! However we could finish the whole thing by tomorrow afternoon if it was condensed but it has to be over 4 days to meet the standard. 1 1 1 Quote

Crikey, I hope you get plenty of tea breaks My poor humour aside, my previous job for 15 years was a computer hardware engineer. I used to fix big stuff, nothing to do with PC's, jeez, some of those courses were so boring and tiring. They went over all the shite from the previous course etc etc. So I totally sympathise. rennie Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I've been on some strange courses in my time! Both good and bad. At the moment they tend to be online which generally I don't like. Enjoy while you can 1 Quote

The worst was during Covid when I had to do a Bridge Management which is one we have to do every 4 or 5 years. On a proper simulator which is a million pound piece of kit which faithfully replicates a full size navigational bridge and you can practice all sorts of disaster scenarios its brilliant. Doing it on a 15 inch laptop screen not so much. Companies love the on-line version though as its way cheaper. 3 Quote
Mawsley Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Afternoon. The wife has the most infuriating habit of texting pointless messages and flooding Facebook with reposts from her idiot friends or those kind of inspirational images that makes me want to set fire to everything. In the space of 48hours, her phone has stopped working and Facebook has taken leave of its senses and banned her. 6 Quote

RideWithStyles Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Morning. At least most of the snow and ice is going from the roads and paths eventually , bins might get emptied and less likely for crashes, the young and infirm to end up in A&E. still quicker than LCC could be bothered with when they actually should of . might get chance to go out for a ride since late sept/Oct I think . 2 Quote

We were woken multiple times by chirping from 1am till 7am, not birds, fecking house alarms, power cuts and the inevitable bell boxes going off cause the main back up battery is dead the fuckwits. 3 Quote
