Boiler died (well badly leaked) on us a few days ago…Borrowed some heaters till it could be replaced.  So for the last 3days no heating or normal hot water 🥶 and a holes from outside where the boiler parts would go🥶🥶.

Back to the modern time of heating up, G’s lighter but warmer.

It's morning, I doubt today is going to be good 😂

Things there were frozen became unfrozen now they are flooded things, I don't have to deal with the floods but I do get to plodge around fixing the bursts for the stupid people...

My Dad's toilet cistern has just started to continually fill. Why these modern ones are so bloody complicated I've no idea. Probably saving 200 ml per flush or something.  I'll try and do something but otherwise I'm leaving it to Northumbrian Water for their "free" fix sometime within the millennium. Dad doesn't really care so as long as it's not flooding the place neither do I.

If it's half modern most have internal overflow so it just goes down the pan, as long as he's not on a water meter, end me a pic of the internals next time your there

Been riding in all weathers since I was 17, my days of braving salty slippy roads are firmly behind me :D

Left Morpeth at 1600. Arrived home at 2200 but had to stop twice to defrost. Bike is even filthier than before. Didn't see a single other biker - nobody else as stupid as me. Have to go up to Glasgow for 1st week in December. Easyjet will do for that especially as company is paying.

Good morning :classic_biggrin:

My bike 🏍 isn't SORN!

I very much doubt I'll ride it but you never know! I did once go to barmouth on boxing day!:classic_biggrin:

Sue is doing well overall! The last drain is coming out on Monday and we're hopeful her diet will be relaxed a bit so she can try to eat more normally. She's lost a lot of weight and needs to put some back on!

That's good to hear, it's sounding positive for Sue.

I have a couple of hours ride planned for the middle of next week, I can't leave it alone.

Good morning bikers 👍, especially @S-Westerly who must be absolutely shattered.

I'm actually not. Slept well and really glad I left when I did as my dad reckoned he had about 20 cm snow first thing.

Weather this afternoon was even dire-er while standing on an open football terrace as Storm Bert hit.
