Simon Davey Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 That damned wind! Preffered it to be - 3 and no wind. 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Boiler died (well badly leaked) on us a few days ago…Borrowed some heaters till it could be replaced. So for the last 3days no heating or normal hot water and a holes from outside where the boiler parts would go. Back to the modern time of heating up, G’s lighter but warmer. 1 2 Quote

My Dad's toilet cistern has just started to continually fill. Why these modern ones are so bloody complicated I've no idea. Probably saving 200 ml per flush or something. I'll try and do something but otherwise I'm leaving it to Northumbrian Water for their "free" fix sometime within the millennium. Dad doesn't really care so as long as it's not flooding the place neither do I. 2 Quote
Mawsley Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Looked out the window, shivered, saw the salt, bike now SORN. 1 Quote

If it's half modern most have internal overflow so it just goes down the pan, as long as he's not on a water meter, end me a pic of the internals next time your there Quote

S-Westerly Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 Left Morpeth at 1600. Arrived home at 2200 but had to stop twice to defrost. Bike is even filthier than before. Didn't see a single other biker - nobody else as stupid as me. Have to go up to Glasgow for 1st week in December. Easyjet will do for that especially as company is paying. 5 Quote

rennie Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Good morning My bike 🏍 isn't SORN! I very much doubt I'll ride it but you never know! I did once go to barmouth on boxing day! Sue is doing well overall! The last drain is coming out on Monday and we're hopeful her diet will be relaxed a bit so she can try to eat more normally. She's lost a lot of weight and needs to put some back on! 6 Quote

I have a couple of hours ride planned for the middle of next week, I can't leave it alone. 2 Quote
