Unless the foil tape is backed with something insulating your just adding another layer of cold conducting material to the copper pipe.

It’s foil backed bubble wrap

Should help then 👍

I go to probably 10 water leaks a year that are condensation, it's usually kitchen cupboard where water comes in or in a bathroom from the toilet cistern.

Not had a good day, Had to remove and replace a big chunk of the flooring as it was water damaged, which including the trip to Wickes took up the morning

Then had to spend two hours tech supporting my Wife over the phone as she was trying to set up her Grandpas new laptop. I would normally have done it but I was busy doing the bathroom 🥴

I've got the new pipework all sorted for tomorrow, so hopefully can get bath done in morning so I can start tiling.

Also I discovered that those multi tool saw things do a half decent job of cutting through floorboards. Nice and easy to control as well

Bit slow but controllable and good for awkward spots.

I was waiting for a slippers comment 😆

In my time I have been the dreaded "safety officer" in the end I got banned from taking and sending photos to the office following any incidents.   My safety flipflops and shorts normally got in shot and questioned, more than the actually incident 🤣

Regarding insulation our shower our vent has always had a drip when its used, this started staining my new ceiling.  So action required, I wrapped foam packaging and bubble wrap round the pipe in the loft, no more drip.  The extractor Fan might last longer now its no longer constantly wet :D :D
